CVE-2018-1301 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
A specially crafted request could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30, due to an out of bound access after a size limit is reached by reading the HTTP header. This vulnerability is considered very hard if not impossible to trigger in non-debug mode (both log and build level), so it is classified as low risk for common server usage.
CVE-2018-1283 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 3.5 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, when mod_session is configured to forward its session data to CGI applications (SessionEnv on, not the default), a remote user may influence their content by using a "Session" header. This comes from the "HTTP_SESSION" variable name used by mod_session to forward its data to CGIs, since the prefix "HTTP_" is also used by the Apache HTTP Server to pass HTTP header fields, per CGI specifications.
CVE-2018-1270 4 Debian, Oracle, Redhat and 1 more 28 Debian Linux, Application Testing Suite, Big Data Discovery and 25 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Spring Framework, versions 5.0 prior to 5.0.5 and versions 4.3 prior to 4.3.15 and older unsupported versions, allow applications to expose STOMP over WebSocket endpoints with a simple, in-memory STOMP broker through the spring-messaging module. A malicious user (or attacker) can craft a message to the broker that can lead to a remote code execution attack.
CVE-2018-1152 3 Canonical, Debian, Libjpeg-turbo 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libjpeg-turbo 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
libjpeg-turbo 1.5.90 is vulnerable to a denial of service vulnerability caused by a divide by zero when processing a crafted BMP image.

Linux kernel before version 4.16-rc7 is vulnerable to a null pointer dereference in dccp_write_xmit() function in net/dccp/output.c in that allows a local user to cause a denial of service by a number of certain crafted system calls.
CVE-2018-1129 4 Ceph, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more 10 Ceph, Debian Linux, Leap and 7 more 2024-11-21 3.3 LOW 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the way signature calculation was handled by cephx authentication protocol. An attacker having access to ceph cluster network who is able to alter the message payload was able to bypass signature checks done by cephx protocol. Ceph branches master, mimic, luminous and jewel are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2018-1128 3 Debian, Opensuse, Redhat 10 Debian Linux, Leap, Ceph and 7 more 2024-11-21 5.4 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
It was found that cephx authentication protocol did not verify ceph clients correctly and was vulnerable to replay attack. Any attacker having access to ceph cluster network who is able to sniff packets on network can use this vulnerability to authenticate with ceph service and perform actions allowed by ceph service. Ceph branches master, mimic, luminous and jewel are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2018-1126 5 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project and 2 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng and 7 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 4.8 MEDIUM
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to an incorrect integer size in proc/alloc.* leading to truncation/integer overflow issues. This flaw is related to CVE-2018-1124.
CVE-2018-1125 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a stack buffer overflow in pgrep. This vulnerability is mitigated by FORTIFY, as it involves strncat() to a stack-allocated string. When pgrep is compiled with FORTIFY (as on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora), the impact is limited to a crash.
CVE-2018-1124 6 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 3 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 6 more 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to multiple integer overflows leading to a heap corruption in file2strvec function. This allows a privilege escalation for a local attacker who can create entries in procfs by starting processes, which could result in crashes or arbitrary code execution in proc utilities run by other users.
CVE-2018-1123 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 3.9 LOW
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a denial of service in ps via mmap buffer overflow. Inbuilt protection in ps maps a guard page at the end of the overflowed buffer, ensuring that the impact of this flaw is limited to a crash (temporary denial of service).
CVE-2018-1122 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng 2024-11-21 4.4 MEDIUM 7.3 HIGH
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a local privilege escalation in top. If a user runs top with HOME unset in an attacker-controlled directory, the attacker could achieve privilege escalation by exploiting one of several vulnerabilities in the config_file() function.
CVE-2018-1120 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more 2024-11-21 3.5 LOW 2.8 LOW
A flaw was found affecting the Linux kernel before version 4.17. By mmap()ing a FUSE-backed file onto a process's memory containing command line arguments (or environment strings), an attacker can cause utilities from psutils or procps (such as ps, w) or any other program which makes a read() call to the /proc/<pid>/cmdline (or /proc/<pid>/environ) files to block indefinitely (denial of service) or for some controlled time (as a synchronization primitive for other attacks).
CVE-2018-1118 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 2.3 LOW
Linux kernel vhost since version 4.8 does not properly initialize memory in messages passed between virtual guests and the host operating system in the vhost/vhost.c:vhost_new_msg() function. This can allow local privileged users to read some kernel memory contents when reading from the /dev/vhost-net device file.
CVE-2018-1116 3 Canonical, Debian, Polkit Project 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Polkit 2024-11-21 3.6 LOW 4.4 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in polkit before version 0.116. The implementation of the polkit_backend_interactive_authority_check_authorization function in polkitd allows to test for authentication and trigger authentication of unrelated processes owned by other users. This may result in a local DoS and information disclosure.
CVE-2018-1108 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
kernel drivers before version 4.17-rc1 are vulnerable to a weakness in the Linux kernel's implementation of random seed data. Programs, early in the boot sequence, could use the data allocated for the seed before it was sufficiently generated.
CVE-2018-1106 4 Canonical, Debian, Packagekit Project and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Packagekit and 6 more 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
An authentication bypass flaw has been found in PackageKit before 1.1.10 that allows users without administrator privileges to install signed packages. A local attacker can use this vulnerability to install vulnerable packages to further compromise a system.
CVE-2018-1089 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, 389 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
389-ds-base before versions 1.4.0.9, 1.3.8.1, 1.3.6.15 did not properly handle long search filters with characters needing escapes, possibly leading to buffer overflows. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could potentially use this flaw to make ns-slapd crash via a specially crafted LDAP request, thus resulting in denial of service.
CVE-2018-1088 3 Debian, Opensuse, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Leap, Enterprise Linux Server and 3 more 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
A privilege escalation flaw was found in gluster 3.x snapshot scheduler. Any gluster client allowed to mount gluster volumes could also mount shared gluster storage volume and escalate privileges by scheduling malicious cronjob via symlink.
CVE-2018-1087 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 8 more 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 8.0 HIGH
kernel KVM before versions kernel 4.16, kernel 4.16-rc7, kernel 4.17-rc1, kernel 4.17-rc2 and kernel 4.17-rc3 is vulnerable to a flaw in the way the Linux kernel's KVM hypervisor handled exceptions delivered after a stack switch operation via Mov SS or Pop SS instructions. During the stack switch operation, the processor did not deliver interrupts and exceptions, rather they are delivered once the first instruction after the stack switch is executed. An unprivileged KVM guest user could use this flaw to crash the guest or, potentially, escalate their privileges in the guest.
