A flaw was found in xorg-server. A specially crafted request to RRChangeProviderProperty or RRChangeOutputProperty can trigger an integer overflow which may lead to a disclosure of sensitive information.
CVE-2023-6377 4 Debian, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 6 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in xorg-server. Querying or changing XKB button actions such as moving from a touchpad to a mouse can result in out-of-bounds memory reads and writes. This may allow local privilege escalation or possible remote code execution in cases where X11 forwarding is involved.
CVE-2023-6356 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 17 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 14 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe driver. This issue may allow an unauthenticated malicious actor to send a set of crafted TCP packages when using NVMe over TCP, leading the NVMe driver to a NULL pointer dereference in the NVMe driver and causing kernel panic and a denial of service.
CVE-2023-5992 2 Opensc Project, Redhat 11 Opensc, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 8 more 2024-11-21 N/A 5.6 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in OpenSC where PKCS#1 encryption padding removal is not implemented as side-channel resistant. This issue may result in the potential leak of private data.
CVE-2023-5870 2 Postgresql, Redhat 16 Postgresql, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder Eus For Power Little Endian Eus and 13 more 2024-11-21 N/A 2.2 LOW
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL involving the pg_cancel_backend role that signals background workers, including the logical replication launcher, autovacuum workers, and the autovacuum launcher. Successful exploitation requires a non-core extension with a less-resilient background worker and would affect that specific background worker only. This issue may allow a remote high privileged user to launch a denial of service (DoS) attack.
CVE-2023-5869 2 Postgresql, Redhat 21 Postgresql, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder Eus For Power Little Endian Eus and 18 more 2024-11-21 N/A 8.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL that allows authenticated database users to execute arbitrary code through missing overflow checks during SQL array value modification. This issue exists due to an integer overflow during array modification where a remote user can trigger the overflow by providing specially crafted data. This enables the execution of arbitrary code on the target system, allowing users to write arbitrary bytes to memory and extensively read the server's memory.
CVE-2023-5868 2 Postgresql, Redhat 16 Postgresql, Codeready Linux Builder Eus, Codeready Linux Builder Eus For Power Little Endian Eus and 13 more 2024-11-21 N/A 4.3 MEDIUM
A memory disclosure vulnerability was found in PostgreSQL that allows remote users to access sensitive information by exploiting certain aggregate function calls with 'unknown'-type arguments. Handling 'unknown'-type values from string literals without type designation can disclose bytes, potentially revealing notable and confidential information. This issue exists due to excessive data output in aggregate function calls, enabling remote users to read some portion of system memory.
CVE-2023-5633 2 Linux, Redhat 22 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.8 HIGH
The reference count changes made as part of the CVE-2023-33951 and CVE-2023-33952 fixes exposed a use-after-free flaw in the way memory objects were handled when they were being used to store a surface. When running inside a VMware guest with 3D acceleration enabled, a local, unprivileged user could potentially use this flaw to escalate their privileges.
CVE-2023-5455 3 Fedoraproject, Freeipa, Redhat 21 Fedora, Freeipa, Codeready Linux Builder and 18 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A Cross-site request forgery vulnerability exists in ipa/session/login_password in all supported versions of IPA. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the user into submitting a request that could perform actions as the user, resulting in a loss of confidentiality and system integrity. During community penetration testing it was found that for certain HTTP end-points FreeIPA does not ensure CSRF protection. Due to implementation details one cannot use this flaw for reflection of a cookie representing already logged-in user. An attacker would always have to go through a new authentication attempt.
CVE-2023-5157 3 Fedoraproject, Mariadb, Redhat 12 Fedora, Mariadb, Enterprise Linux and 9 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in MariaDB. An OpenVAS port scan on ports 3306 and 4567 allows a malicious remote client to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2023-4527 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 32 Fedora, Glibc, H300s and 29 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in glibc. When the getaddrinfo function is called with the AF_UNSPEC address family and the system is configured with no-aaaa mode via /etc/resolv.conf, a DNS response via TCP larger than 2048 bytes can potentially disclose stack contents through the function returned address data, and may cause a crash.
CVE-2023-4147 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Netfilter functionality when adding a rule with NFTA_RULE_CHAIN_ID. This flaw allows a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-4091 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Samba 5 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was discovered in Samba, where the flaw allows SMB clients to truncate files, even with read-only permissions when the Samba VFS module "acl_xattr" is configured with "acl_xattr:ignore system acls = yes". The SMB protocol allows opening files when the client requests read-only access but then implicitly truncates the opened file to 0 bytes if the client specifies a separate OVERWRITE create disposition request. The issue arises in configurations that bypass kernel file system permissions checks, relying solely on Samba's permissions.
CVE-2023-46848 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux Server Aus and 2 more 2024-11-21 N/A 8.6 HIGH
Squid is vulnerable to Denial of Service, where a remote attacker can perform DoS by sending ftp:// URLs in HTTP Request messages or constructing ftp:// URLs from FTP Native input.
CVE-2023-46847 2 Redhat, Squid-cache 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 7 more 2024-11-21 N/A 8.6 HIGH
Squid is vulnerable to a Denial of Service, where a remote attacker can perform buffer overflow attack by writing up to 2 MB of arbitrary data to heap memory when Squid is configured to accept HTTP Digest Authentication.
CVE-2023-42669 2 Redhat, Samba 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Ibm Z Systems and 5 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in Samba's "rpcecho" development server, a non-Windows RPC server used to test Samba's DCE/RPC stack elements. This vulnerability stems from an RPC function that can be blocked indefinitely. The issue arises because the "rpcecho" service operates with only one worker in the main RPC task, allowing calls to the "rpcecho" server to be blocked for a specified time, causing service disruptions. This disruption is triggered by a "sleep()" call in the "dcesrv_echo_TestSleep()" function under specific conditions. Authenticated users or attackers can exploit this vulnerability to make calls to the "rpcecho" server, requesting it to block for a specified duration, effectively disrupting most services and leading to a complete denial of service on the AD DC. The DoS affects all other services as "rpcecho" runs in the main RPC task.
CVE-2023-3972 1 Redhat 19 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 16 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide).
CVE-2023-3961 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Samba 5 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more 2024-11-21 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in Samba when processing client pipe names connecting to Unix domain sockets within a private directory. Samba typically uses this mechanism to connect SMB clients to remote procedure call (RPC) services like SAMR LSA or SPOOLSS, which Samba initiates on demand. However, due to inadequate sanitization of incoming client pipe names, allowing a client to send a pipe name containing Unix directory traversal characters (../). This could result in SMB clients connecting as root to Unix domain sockets outside the private directory. If an attacker or client managed to send a pipe name resolving to an external service using an existing Unix domain socket, it could potentially lead to unauthorized access to the service and consequential adverse events, including compromise or service crashes.
CVE-2023-3899 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 20 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 17 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in subscription-manager that allows local privilege escalation due to inadequate authorization. The D-Bus interface com.redhat.RHSM1 exposes a significant number of methods to all users that could change the state of the registration. By using the com.redhat.RHSM1.Config.SetAll() method, a low-privileged local user could tamper with the state of the registration, by unregistering the system or by changing the current entitlements. This flaw allows an attacker to set arbitrary configuration directives for /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf, which can be abused to cause a local privilege escalation to an unconfined root.
CVE-2023-38201 3 Fedoraproject, Keylime, Redhat 9 Fedora, Keylime, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Keylime registrar that could allow a bypass of the challenge-response protocol during agent registration. This issue may allow an attacker to impersonate an agent and hide the true status of a monitored machine if the fake agent is added to the verifier list by a legitimate user, resulting in a breach of the integrity of the registrar database.
