ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows an off-path attacker to block unauthenticated synchronization via a server mode packet with a spoofed source IP address, because transmissions are rescheduled even when a packet lacks a valid origin timestamp.
CVE-2021-38160 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Element Software and 6 more 2025-05-05 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
In drivers/char/virtio_console.c in the Linux kernel before 5.13.4, data corruption or loss can be triggered by an untrusted device that supplies a buf->len value exceeding the buffer size. NOTE: the vendor indicates that the cited data corruption is not a vulnerability in any existing use case; the length validation was added solely for robustness in the face of anomalous host OS behavior
CVE-2021-35942 3 Debian, Gnu, Netapp 7 Debian Linux, Glibc, Active Iq Unified Manager and 4 more 2025-05-01 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
The wordexp function in the GNU C Library (aka glibc) through 2.33 may crash or read arbitrary memory in parse_param (in posix/wordexp.c) when called with an untrusted, crafted pattern, potentially resulting in a denial of service or disclosure of information. This occurs because atoi was used but strtoul should have been used to ensure correct calculations.
CVE-2021-42375 3 Busybox, Fedoraproject, Netapp 19 Busybox, Fedora, Cloud Backup and 16 more 2025-04-23 1.9 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
An incorrect handling of a special element in Busybox's ash applet leads to denial of service when processing a crafted shell command, due to the shell mistaking specific characters for reserved characters. This may be used for DoS under rare conditions of filtered command input.
CVE-2022-32207 6 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 19 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 16 more 2025-04-23 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
When curl < 7.84.0 saves cookies, alt-svc and hsts data to local files, it makes the operation atomic by finalizing the operation with a rename from a temporary name to the final target file name.In that rename operation, it might accidentally *widen* the permissions for the target file, leaving the updated file accessible to more users than intended.
CVE-2017-15906 5 Debian, Netapp, Openbsd and 2 more 22 Debian Linux, Active Iq Unified Manager, Cloud Backup and 19 more 2025-04-20 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM

CVE-2016-9131 4 Debian, Isc, Netapp and 1 more 12 Debian Linux, Bind, Data Ontap Edge and 9 more 2025-04-20 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
named in ISC BIND 9.x before 9.9.9-P5, 9.10.x before 9.10.4-P5, and 9.11.x before 9.11.0-P2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a malformed response to an RTYPE ANY query.
CVE-2016-5195 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more 2025-04-12 7.2 HIGH 7.0 HIGH
Race condition in mm/gup.c in the Linux kernel 2.x through 4.x before 4.8.3 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging incorrect handling of a copy-on-write (COW) feature to write to a read-only memory mapping, as exploited in the wild in October 2016, aka "Dirty COW."
CVE-2016-8864 4 Debian, Isc, Netapp and 1 more 11 Debian Linux, Bind, Data Ontap Edge and 8 more 2025-04-12 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
named in ISC BIND 9.x before 9.9.9-P4, 9.10.x before 9.10.4-P4, and 9.11.x before 9.11.0-P1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure and daemon exit) via a DNAME record in the answer section of a response to a recursive query, related to db.c and resolver.c.
CVE-2007-2768 2 Netapp, Openbsd 5 Hci Management Node, Hci Storage Node, Solidfire and 2 more 2025-04-09 4.3 MEDIUM N/A
OpenSSH, when using OPIE (One-Time Passwords in Everything) for PAM, allows remote attackers to determine the existence of certain user accounts, which displays a different response if the user account exists and is configured to use one-time passwords (OTP), a similar issue to CVE-2007-2243.
CVE-2019-2215 5 Canonical, Debian, Google and 2 more 145 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Android and 142 more 2025-04-04 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
A use-after-free in binder.c allows an elevation of privilege from an application to the Linux Kernel. No user interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability, however exploitation does require either the installation of a malicious local application or a separate vulnerability in a network facing application.Product: AndroidAndroid ID: A-141720095
CVE-2019-13272 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 25 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 22 more 2025-04-03 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments.
CVE-2021-3156 8 Beyondtrust, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 31 Privilege Management For Mac, Privilege Management For Unix\/linux, Debian Linux and 28 more 2025-04-03 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
Sudo before 1.9.5p2 contains an off-by-one error that can result in a heap-based buffer overflow, which allows privilege escalation to root via "sudoedit -s" and a command-line argument that ends with a single backslash character.
CVE-2022-1586 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 18 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 15 more 2025-03-25 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was discovered in the PCRE2 library in the compile_xclass_matchingpath() function of the pcre2_jit_compile.c file. This involves a unicode property matching issue in JIT-compiled regular expressions. The issue occurs because the character was not fully read in case-less matching within JIT.
CVE-2018-7185 6 Canonical, Hpe, Netapp and 3 more 23 Ubuntu Linux, Hpux-ntp, Hci and 20 more 2025-01-14 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The protocol engine in ntp 4.2.6 before 4.2.8p11 allows a remote attackers to cause a denial of service (disruption) by continually sending a packet with a zero-origin timestamp and source IP address of the "other side" of an interleaved association causing the victim ntpd to reset its association.
CVE-2017-5753 13 Arm, Canonical, Debian and 10 more 387 Cortex-a12, Cortex-a12 Firmware, Cortex-a15 and 384 more 2025-01-14 4.7 MEDIUM 5.6 MEDIUM
Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and branch prediction may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis.
CVE-2018-7170 4 Hpe, Netapp, Ntp and 1 more 10 Hpux-ntp, Hci, Solidfire and 7 more 2025-01-14 3.5 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
ntpd in ntp 4.2.x before 4.2.8p7 and 4.3.x before 4.3.92 allows authenticated users that know the private symmetric key to create arbitrarily-many ephemeral associations in order to win the clock selection of ntpd and modify a victim's clock via a Sybil attack. This issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1549.
CVE-2023-38432 2 Linux, Netapp 7 Linux Kernel, H300s, H410s and 4 more 2024-11-21 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.10. fs/smb/server/smb2misc.c in ksmbd does not validate the relationship between the command payload size and the RFC1002 length specification, leading to an out-of-bounds read.
CVE-2022-34169 6 Apache, Azul, Debian and 3 more 16 Xalan-java, Zulu, Debian Linux and 13 more 2024-11-21 N/A 7.5 HIGH
The Apache Xalan Java XSLT library is vulnerable to an integer truncation issue when processing malicious XSLT stylesheets. This can be used to corrupt Java class files generated by the internal XSLTC compiler and execute arbitrary Java bytecode. Users are recommended to update to version 2.7.3 or later. Note: Java runtimes (such as OpenJDK) include repackaged copies of Xalan.
