CVE-2010-3904 6 Canonical, Linux, Opensuse and 3 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Opensuse and 5 more 2025-10-22 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
The rds_page_copy_user function in net/rds/page.c in the Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) protocol implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36 does not properly validate addresses obtained from user space, which allows local users to gain privileges via crafted use of the sendmsg and recvmsg system calls.
CVE-2010-1871 2 Netapp, Redhat 5 Oncommand Balance, Oncommand Insight, Oncommand Unified Manager and 2 more 2025-10-22 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
JBoss Seam 2 (jboss-seam2), as used in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 4.3.0 for Red Hat Linux, does not properly sanitize inputs for JBoss Expression Language (EL) expressions, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted URL. NOTE: this is only a vulnerability when the Java Security Manager is not properly configured.
CVE-2017-1000253 3 Centos, Linux, Redhat 3 Centos, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-22 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
Linux distributions that have not patched their long-term kernels with https://git.kernel.org/linus/a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (committed on April 14, 2015). This kernel vulnerability was fixed in April 2015 by commit a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (backported to Linux 3.10.77 in May 2015), but it was not recognized as a security threat. With CONFIG_ARCH_BINFMT_ELF_RANDOMIZE_PIE enabled, and a normal top-down address allocation strategy, load_elf_binary() will attempt to map a PIE binary into an address range immediately below mm->mmap_base. Unfortunately, load_elf_ binary() does not take account of the need to allocate sufficient space for the entire binary which means that, while the first PT_LOAD segment is mapped below mm->mmap_base, the subsequent PT_LOAD segment(s) end up being mapped above mm->mmap_base into the are that is supposed to be the "gap" between the stack and the binary.
CVE-2024-3049 2 Clusterlabs, Redhat 8 Booth, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 5 more 2025-10-02 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in Booth, a cluster ticket manager. If a specially-crafted hash is passed to gcry_md_get_algo_dlen(), it may allow an invalid HMAC to be accepted by the Booth server.
CVE-2023-5157 3 Fedoraproject, Mariadb, Redhat 12 Fedora, Mariadb, Enterprise Linux and 9 more 2025-10-01 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in MariaDB. An OpenVAS port scan on ports 3306 and 4567 allows a malicious remote client to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2024-6387 13 Almalinux, Amazon, Apple and 10 more 81 Almalinux, Amazon Linux, Macos and 78 more 2025-09-30 N/A 8.1 HIGH
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.
CVE-2023-4813 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 21 Fedora, Glibc, Active Iq Unified Manager and 18 more 2025-09-26 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A flaw has been identified in glibc. In an uncommon situation, the gaih_inet function may use memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when the getaddrinfo function is called and the hosts database in /etc/nsswitch.conf is configured with SUCCESS=continue or SUCCESS=merge.
CVE-2023-4806 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat 22 Fedora, Glibc, Codeready Linux Builder Eus and 19 more 2025-09-26 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A flaw has been identified in glibc. In an extremely rare situation, the getaddrinfo function may access memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when a NSS module implements only the _nss_*_gethostbyname2_r and _nss_*_getcanonname_r hooks without implementing the _nss_*_gethostbyname3_r hook. The resolved name should return a large number of IPv6 and IPv4, and the call to the getaddrinfo function should have the AF_INET6 address family with AI_CANONNAME, AI_ALL and AI_V4MAPPED as flags.
CVE-2022-4283 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2025-08-29 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in X.Org. This security flaw occurs because the XkbCopyNames function left a dangling pointer to freed memory, resulting in out-of-bounds memory access on subsequent XkbGetKbdByName requests.. This issue can lead to local privileges elevation on systems where the X server is running privileged and remote code execution for ssh X forwarding sessions.
CVE-2024-0408 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 12 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 9 more 2025-08-29 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The GLX PBuffer code does not call the XACE hook when creating the buffer, leaving it unlabeled. When the client issues another request to access that resource (as with a GetGeometry) or when it creates another resource that needs to access that buffer, such as a GC, the XSELINUX code will try to use an object that was never labeled and crash because the SID is NULL.
CVE-2020-14362 3 Canonical, Redhat, X.org 3 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, X Server 2025-08-29 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in X.Org Server before xorg-x11-server 1.20.9. An Integer underflow leading to heap-buffer overflow may lead to a privilege escalation vulnerability. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-14361 3 Canonical, Redhat, X.org 3 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, X Server 2025-08-29 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in X.Org Server before xorg-x11-server 1.20.9. An Integer underflow leading to heap-buffer overflow may lead to a privilege escalation vulnerability. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2024-0409 4 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 12 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 9 more 2025-08-29 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in the X.Org server. The cursor code in both Xephyr and Xwayland uses the wrong type of private at creation. It uses the cursor bits type with the cursor as private, and when initiating the cursor, that overwrites the XSELINUX context.
CVE-2020-14346 3 Canonical, Redhat, X.org 3 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, X Server 2025-08-29 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in xorg-x11-server before 1.20.9. An integer underflow in the X input extension protocol decoding in the X server may lead to arbitrary access of memory contents. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2024-9675 2 Buildah Project, Redhat 14 Buildah, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 11 more 2025-08-25 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in Buildah. Cache mounts do not properly validate that user-specified paths for the cache are within our cache directory, allowing a `RUN` instruction in a Container file to mount an arbitrary directory from the host (read/write) into the container as long as those files can be accessed by the user running Buildah.
CVE-2023-39328 2 Redhat, Uclouvain 2 Enterprise Linux, Openjpeg 2025-08-18 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in OpenJPEG similar to CVE-2019-6988. This flaw allows an attacker to bypass existing protections and cause an application crash through a maliciously crafted file.
CVE-2023-6377 4 Debian, Redhat, Tigervnc and 1 more 6 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more 2025-08-18 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in xorg-server. Querying or changing XKB button actions such as moving from a touchpad to a mouse can result in out-of-bounds memory reads and writes. This may allow local privilege escalation or possible remote code execution in cases where X11 forwarding is involved.
CVE-2025-5918 2 Libarchive, Redhat 3 Libarchive, Enterprise Linux, Openshift Container Platform 2025-08-15 N/A 3.9 LOW
A vulnerability has been identified in the libarchive library. This flaw can be triggered when file streams are piped into bsdtar, potentially allowing for reading past the end of the file. This out-of-bounds read can lead to unintended consequences, including unpredictable program behavior, memory corruption, or a denial-of-service condition.
CVE-2025-3155 3 Debian, Gnome, Redhat 21 Debian Linux, Yelp, Codeready Linux Builder and 18 more 2025-08-12 N/A 7.4 HIGH
A flaw was found in Yelp. The Gnome user help application allows the help document to execute arbitrary scripts. This vulnerability allows malicious users to input help documents, which may exfiltrate user files to an external environment.
CVE-2025-6196 2 Gnome, Redhat 2 Libgepub, Enterprise Linux 2025-08-12 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in libgepub, a library used to read EPUB files. The software mishandles file size calculations when opening specially crafted EPUB files, leading to incorrect memory allocations. This issue causes the application to crash. Known affected usage includes desktop services like Tumbler, which may process malicious files automatically when browsing directories. While no direct remote attack vectors are confirmed, any application using libgepub to parse user-supplied EPUB content could be vulnerable to a denial of service.
