CVE-2024-27351 1 Djangoproject 1 Django 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
In Django 3.2 before 3.2.25, 4.2 before 4.2.11, and 5.0 before 5.0.3, the django.utils.text.Truncator.words() method (with html=True) and the truncatewords_html template filter are subject to a potential regular expression denial-of-service attack via a crafted string. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2019-14232 and CVE-2023-43665.
CVE-2024-24762 3 Encode, Fastapiexpert, Tiangolo 3 Starlette, Python-multipart, Fastapi 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
`python-multipart` is a streaming multipart parser for Python. When using form data, `python-multipart` uses a Regular Expression to parse the HTTP `Content-Type` header, including options. An attacker could send a custom-made `Content-Type` option that is very difficult for the RegEx to process, consuming CPU resources and stalling indefinitely (minutes or more) while holding the main event loop. This means that process can't handle any more requests, leading to regular expression denial of service. This vulnerability has been patched in version 0.0.7.
CVE-2024-23732 1 Embedchain 1 Embedchain 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
The JSON loader in Embedchain before 0.1.57 allows a ReDoS (regular expression denial of service) via a long string to json.py.
CVE-2024-22640 2 Fedoraproject, Tcpdf Project 2 Fedora, Tcpdf 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
TCPDF version <=6.6.5 is vulnerable to ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) if parsing an untrusted HTML page with a crafted color.
CVE-2024-22363 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
SheetJS Community Edition before 0.20.2 is vulnerable.to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS).
CVE-2024-21539 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Versions of the package @eslint/plugin-kit before 0.2.3 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to improper input sanitization. An attacker can increase the CPU usage and crash the program by exploiting this vulnerability.
CVE-2024-21538 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Versions of the package cross-spawn before 6.0.6, from 7.0.0 and before 7.0.5 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to improper input sanitization. An attacker can increase the CPU usage and crash the program by crafting a very large and well crafted string.
CVE-2024-21503 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Versions of the package black before 24.3.0 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via the lines_with_leading_tabs_expanded function in the strings.py file. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious input that causes a denial of service. Exploiting this vulnerability is possible when running Black on untrusted input, or if you habitually put thousands of leading tab characters in your docstrings.
CVE-2024-1963 1 Gitlab 1 Gitlab 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 8.4 prior to 16.10.7, starting from 16.11 prior to 16.11.4, and starting from 17.0 prior to 17.0.2. A vulnerability in GitLab's Asana integration allowed an attacker to potentially cause a regular expression denial of service by sending specially crafted requests.
CVE-2024-1892 1 Scrapy 1 Scrapy 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Parts of the Scrapy API were found to be vulnerable to a ReDoS attack. Handling a malicious response could cause extreme CPU and memory usage during the parsing of its content, due to the use of vulnerable regular expressions for that parsing.
CVE-2024-1736 1 Gitlab 1 Gitlab 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions prior to 16.10.7, starting from 16.11 prior to 16.11.4, and starting from 17.0 prior to 17.0.2. A vulnerability in GitLab's CI/CD pipeline editor could allow for denial of service attacks through maliciously crafted configuration files.
CVE-2024-1495 1 Gitlab 1 Gitlab 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 13.1 prior to 16.10.7, starting from 16.11 prior to 16.11.4, and starting from 17.0 prior to 17.0.2. It was possible for an attacker to cause a denial of service using maliciously crafted file.
CVE-2024-1493 1 Gitlab 1 Gitlab 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 9.2 prior to 16.11.5, starting from 17.0 prior to 17.0.3, and starting from 17.1 prior to 17.1.1, with the processing logic for generating link in dependency files can lead to a regular expression DoS attack on the server
CVE-2024-13926 1 Connections-pro 1 Wp-syntax 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
The WP-Syntax WordPress plugin through 1.2 does not properly handle input, allowing an attacker to create a post containing a large number of tags, thereby exploiting a catastrophic backtracking issue in the regular expression processing to cause a DoS.
CVE-2024-13896 1 Jgehrcke 1 Wp-geshi-highlight 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
The WP-GeSHi-Highlight — rock-solid syntax highlighting for 259 languages WordPress plugin through 1.4.3 processes user-supplied input as a regular expression via the wp_geshi_filter_replace_code() function, which could lead to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) issue
CVE-2024-12720 1 Huggingface 1 Transformers 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability was identified in the huggingface/transformers library, specifically in the file tokenization_nougat_fast.py. The vulnerability occurs in the post_process_single() function, where a regular expression processes specially crafted input. The issue stems from the regex exhibiting exponential time complexity under certain conditions, leading to excessive backtracking. This can result in significantly high CPU usage and potential application downtime, effectively creating a Denial of Service (DoS) scenario. The affected version is v4.46.3 (latest).
CVE-2024-12391 1 Binary-husky 1 Gpt Academic 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A vulnerability in binary-husky/gpt_academic, as of commit 310122f, allows for a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack. The function '解析项目源码(手动指定和筛选源码文件类型)' permits the execution of user-provided regular expressions. Certain regular expressions can cause the Python RE engine to take exponential time to execute, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. An attacker who controls both the regular expression and the search string can exploit this vulnerability to hang the server for an arbitrary amount of time.
CVE-2024-12388 1 Binary-husky 1 Gpt Academic 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A vulnerability in binary-husky/gpt_academic version 310122f allows for a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack. The application uses a regular expression to parse user input, which can take polynomial time to match certain crafted inputs. This allows an attacker to send a small malicious payload to the server, causing it to become unresponsive and unable to handle any requests from other users.
