| CVE-2019-10160 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 13 more | 2026-10-14 | 9.8 Critical |
| A security regression of CVE-2019-9636 was discovered in python since commit d537ab0ff9767ef024f26246899728f0116b1ec3 affecting versions 2.7, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 and from v3.8.0a4 through v3.8.0b1, which still allows an attacker to exploit CVE-2019-9636 by abusing the user and password parts of a URL. When an application parses user-supplied URLs to store cookies, authentication credentials, or other kind of information, it is possible for an attacker to provide specially crafted URLs to make the application locate host-related information (e.g. cookies, authentication data) and send them to a different host than where it should, unlike if the URLs had been correctly parsed. The result of an attack may vary based on the application. | ||||
| CVE-2018-20843 | 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| In libexpat in Expat before 2.2.7, XML input including XML names that contain a large number of colons could make the XML parser consume a high amount of RAM and CPU resources while processing (enough to be usable for denial-of-service attacks). | ||||
| CVE-2018-14567 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 2 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| libxml2 2.9.8, if --with-lzma is used, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted XML file that triggers LZMA_MEMLIMIT_ERROR, as demonstrated by xmllint, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-8035 and CVE-2018-9251. | ||||
| CVE-2018-14404 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Ansible Tower and 3 more | 2026-10-14 | 6.5 Medium |
| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the xpath.c:xmlXPathCompOpEval() function of libxml2 through 2.9.8 when parsing an invalid XPath expression in the XPATH_OP_AND or XPATH_OP_OR case. Applications processing untrusted XSL format inputs with the use of the libxml2 library may be vulnerable to a denial of service attack due to a crash of the application. | ||||
| CVE-2018-0495 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg and 2 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt and 11 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| Libgcrypt before 1.7.10 and 1.8.x before 1.8.3 allows a memory-cache side-channel attack on ECDSA signatures that can be mitigated through the use of blinding during the signing process in the _gcry_ecc_ecdsa_sign function in cipher/ecc-ecdsa.c, aka the Return Of the Hidden Number Problem or ROHNP. To discover an ECDSA key, the attacker needs access to either the local machine or a different virtual machine on the same physical host. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9050 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictAddString function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1839. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9049 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictComputeFastKey function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for libxml2 Bug 759398. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9048 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2026-10-14 | 7.5 High |
| libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. At the end of the routine, the function may strcat two more characters without checking whether the current strlen(buf) + 2 < size. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2017-9047 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| A buffer overflow was discovered in libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801. The function xmlSnprintfElementContent in valid.c is supposed to recursively dump the element content definition into a char buffer 'buf' of size 'size'. The variable len is assigned strlen(buf). If the content->type is XML_ELEMENT_CONTENT_ELEMENT, then (i) the content->prefix is appended to buf (if it actually fits) whereupon (ii) content->name is written to the buffer. However, the check for whether the content->name actually fits also uses 'len' rather than the updated buffer length strlen(buf). This allows us to write about "size" many bytes beyond the allocated memory. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2017-18258 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 4 Ansible Tower, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| The xz_head function in xzlib.c in libxml2 before 2.9.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted LZMA file, because the decoder functionality does not restrict memory usage to what is required for a legitimate file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-15422 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Google and 2 more | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Chrome and 5 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page. | ||||
| CVE-2016-9318 | 4 Canonical, Redhat, Xmlsec Project and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Jboss Core Services, Xmlsec and 1 more | 2026-10-14 | 5.5 Medium |
| libxml2 2.9.4 and earlier, as used in XMLSec 1.2.23 and earlier and other products, does not offer a flag directly indicating that the current document may be read but other files may not be opened, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct XML External Entity (XXE) attacks via a crafted document. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5131 | 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more | 18 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 15 more | 2026-10-14 | 8.8 High |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in libxml2 through 2.9.4, as used in Google Chrome before 52.0.2743.82, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the XPointer range-to function. | ||||
| CVE-2016-4658 | 3 Apple, Redhat, Xmlsoft | 6 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 3 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| xpointer.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 (as used in Apple iOS before 10, OS X before 10.12, tvOS before 10, and watchOS before 3, and other products) does not forbid namespace nodes in XPointer ranges, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) via a crafted XML document. | ||||
| CVE-2016-3709 | 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus, Libxml2 | 2026-10-14 | 6.1 Medium |
| Possible cross-site scripting vulnerability in libxml after commit 960f0e2. | ||||
| CVE-2016-10739 | 3 Gnu, Opensuse, Redhat | 4 Glibc, Leap, Ansible Tower and 1 more | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| In the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) through 2.28, the getaddrinfo function would successfully parse a string that contained an IPv4 address followed by whitespace and arbitrary characters, which could lead applications to incorrectly assume that it had parsed a valid string, without the possibility of embedded HTTP headers or other potentially dangerous substrings. | ||||
| CVE-2016-10228 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 2 Glibc, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-14 | N/A |
| The iconv program in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) 2.31 and earlier, when invoked with multiple suffixes in the destination encoding (TRANSLATE or IGNORE) along with the -c option, enters an infinite loop when processing invalid multi-byte input sequences, leading to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2015-20107 | 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python and 1 more | 7 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 4 more | 2026-10-14 | 7.8 High |
| In Python (aka CPython) up to 3.10.8, the mailcap module does not add escape characters into commands discovered in the system mailcap file. This may allow attackers to inject shell commands into applications that call mailcap.findmatch with untrusted input (if they lack validation of user-provided filenames or arguments). The fix is also back-ported to 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 | ||||
