CVE-2026-90082 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: Cap MSI-X vectors to the device MSI-X table size mana_gd_query_max_resources() sizes gc->num_msix_usable from resp.max_msix and the CPU count, but never from the device MSI-X table. On a 1792 vCPU M-series VM that yields 1793 while the table has 1024 entries, and mana_gd_setup_remaining_irqs() then walks indices 1..1792, running off the end of the region mapped by msix_map_region(): BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ff8e347f8b99800c RIP: 0010:msix_prepare_msi_desc+0x7a/0x90 RAX: 0000000000004000 RBX: ff4330cb164ea780 RCX: ff8e347f8b998000 Call Trace: <TASK> __msi_domain_alloc_irqs+0x13a/0x440 msi_domain_alloc_irq_at+0x149/0x1b0 mana_gd_setup+0x351/0x890 mana_gd_probe+0x274/0x390 </TASK> RAX is index 1024 * PCI_MSIX_ENTRY_SIZE, one entry past the table. msi_insert_desc() does range check the index, but only against the MSI domain hwsize, which matches the table only for devices on an MSI parent domain. With a global PCI/MSI domain hwsize is MSI_XA_DOMAIN_SIZE, so nothing bounds the request. Cap num_msix_usable with pci_msix_vec_count().
CVE-2026-89907 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: KVM: Validate MSI data before routing it to EIOINTC pch_msi_set_irq() passes e->msi.data straight into eiointc_set_irq() as the irq number. The MSI data comes from userspace, that either via a KVM_IRQ_ROUTING_MSI entry set with KVM_SET_GSI_ROUTING (used by irqfd and KVM_IRQ_LINE) or directly via KVM_SIGNAL_MSI, and is never checked against EIOINTC_IRQS. eiointc_set_irq() uses the value with __set_bit()/__clear_bit() on the 256-bit isr bitmap, eiointc_update_irq() then indexes sw_coremap[] and the per-cpu coreisr/sw_coreisr bitmaps with it. Therefore a data value >= 256 reads and writes memory past the end of those arrays, i.e. any process holding a VM fd can corrupt kernel memory beyond the allocation of loongarch_eiointc. Reject MSI data that doesn't fit in the EIOINTC irq space. The DMSINTC path is unaffected as it decodes the vector from the address and masks it.
CVE-2026-89513 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RISC-V: KVM: Fix PMU event info array size overflow SBI PMU EVENT_GET_INFO stores guest-controlled num_events * sizeof(*einfo) in a 32-bit integer. On RV64, num_events = 0x10000001 makes 0x100000010 truncate to 16. KVM then allocates one entry but loops over the original num_events, causing out-of-bounds reads and writes. A nested guest triggered: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in kvm_riscv_vcpu_pmu_event_info+0xa4/0x142 Read of size 4 at addr ff600000074d46b0 by task init/1 Call Trace: [<ffffffff8006471c>] kvm_riscv_vcpu_pmu_event_info+0xa4/0x142 [<ffffffff800690c0>] kvm_sbi_ext_pmu_handler+0xca/0x268 [<ffffffff8006779e>] kvm_riscv_vcpu_sbi_ecall+0xec/0x1e6 [<ffffffff8006008c>] kvm_riscv_vcpu_exit+0x48c/0x540 [<ffffffff8005ea0a>] kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_run+0x37e/0xc80 Allocated by task 1: __kmalloc_noprof+0x19e/0x4b0 kvm_riscv_vcpu_pmu_event_info+0x72/0x142 kvm_sbi_ext_pmu_handler+0xca/0x268 kvm_riscv_vcpu_sbi_ecall+0xec/0x1e6 kvm_riscv_vcpu_exit+0x48c/0x540 kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_run+0x37e/0xc80 The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of allocated 16-byte region [ff600000074d46a0, ff600000074d46b0) Store the shared-memory size in size_t and reject multiplication overflow. CVE-2026-80631 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: lzo: reject compressed segment that overflows the compressed input lzo_decompress_bio() validates each on-disk segment length seg_len only against the workspace cbuf size, not against the compressed input size (compressed_len, the total folio bytes of the bio). A crafted extent can carry a segment whose seg_len passes the cbuf check but runs past the end of the bio, so copy_compressed_segment() walks off the last folio: get_current_folio() then returns the NULL folio from bio_next_folio(), and with CONFIG_BTRFS_ASSERT disabled (default) folio_size(NULL) faults. BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in lzo_decompress_bio (fs/btrfs/lzo.c:383) Read of size 8 at addr 0000000000000000 by task kworker/u8:1/29 Workqueue: btrfs-endio simple_end_io_work kasan_report (mm/kasan/report.c:590) lzo_decompress_bio (fs/btrfs/lzo.c:383) end_bbio_compressed_read (fs/btrfs/compression.c:1065) btrfs_bio_end_io (fs/btrfs/bio.c:135) btrfs_check_read_bio (fs/btrfs/bio.c:180 fs/btrfs/bio.c:285) simple_end_io_work process_one_work worker_thread Reject any segment whose payload would extend beyond compressed_len before copying it, treating it as corruption like the other on-disk validation failures in this function.
CVE-2026-72423 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Guard conntrack opts error writes The conntrack lookup and allocation kfuncs take an opts pointer together with an opts__sz argument. The verifier checks only the memory range described by opts__sz, but the wrappers unconditionally write opts->error whenever the internal lookup or allocation helper returns an error. For an invalid size smaller than the end of opts->error, that write can land outside the verifier-checked range. Keep returning NULL for invalid arguments, but only report the error through opts->error when the supplied size includes the field. This preserves error reporting for the supported 12-byte and 16-byte layouts, and for other invalid sizes that still include opts->error.
CVE-2026-72380 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen/pvcalls: bound backend response req_id before indexing rsp[] pvcalls_front_event_handler() takes req_id directly from the backend-supplied ring response and uses it to index the fixed-size bedata->rsp[] array for a memcpy() and a store, with no range check. A malicious or buggy backend can set req_id past PVCALLS_NR_RSP_PER_RING and drive an out-of-bounds write past the bedata allocation. req_id was also declared int while the wire field rsp->req_id is u32, so a range check on the signed value alone is insufficient: a backend req_id of 0xffffffff becomes -1, passes a >= PVCALLS_NR_RSP_PER_RING test and indexes bedata->rsp[-1]. Declare req_id as u32 so a single bound covers both ends. A backend that sends an out-of-range req_id has violated the wire protocol, so rather than silently dropping the response, log once and stop trusting the backend: set bedata->disabled. The event handler then ignores further responses, and the request paths that wait for a response return -EIO instead of blocking forever. This mirrors the fatal-error handling xen-netback uses (xenvif_fatal_tx_err()). The pvcalls frontend currently trusts its backend, so this is not a classic-Xen security issue, but it matters for hardening PV frontends against malicious backends (confidential and disaggregated deployments).
CVE-2026-110392 2026-10-15 9.8 Critical
Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('OS command injection') vulnerability in Samsung Open Source QA-Board allows : OS Command Injection.
CVE-2026-86476 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-10-15 8.4 High
A flaw was found in gst-plugins-base. A heap buffer overflow can be triggered when processing video buffers whose attached GstVideoMeta metadata declares plane strides and offsets that exceed the actual backing memory allocation. The metadata is not range-checked during deserialization, and the video frame mapping code does not verify that the declared plane geometry fits within the buffer before allowing consumers to read or write video data. A local attacker who controls the sending side of a GStreamer inter-process IPC pipeline can deliver a crafted buffer carrying fabricated strides, causing the receiving process to read or write beyond heap boundaries. Successful exploitation can cause a denial of service or potentially allow code execution within the affected process.
CVE-2026-101967 2026-10-15 8.8 High
An OS Command Injection vulnerability in the bootzd zero-touch provisioning daemon of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated attacker on the management LAN to execute commands as root via crafted DHCP response.
CVE-2026-84854 1 Wibu-systems-ag 1 Wibukey 2026-10-15 7 High
In the WibuKey driver for Windows below Version 6.72, insufficient validation of user input when calculating the size of a kernel buffer could cause small amounts of data to be written outside the intended kernel buffer. This can lead to a system crash. Under unfavorable circumstances, adjacent kernel memory may be modified.
CVE-2026-53148 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Clamp XDomain response data copy to allocation size tb_xdp_properties_request() derives the per-packet copy length from the response header without checking that it fits in the previously allocated data buffer. A malicious peer can set its length field larger than the declared data_length, causing memcpy to write past the kcalloc allocation. Clamp the per-packet copy length so that the cumulative offset never exceeds data_len.
CVE-2026-46331 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: fix pedit partial COW leading to page cache corruption tcf_pedit_act() computes the COW range for skb_ensure_writable() once before the key loop using tcfp_off_max_hint, but the hint does not account for the runtime header offset added by typed keys. This can leave part of the write region un-COW'd. Fix by moving skb_ensure_writable() inside the per-key loop where the actual write offset is known, and add overflow checking on the offset arithmetic. For negative offsets (e.g. Ethernet header edits at ingress), use skb_cow() to COW the headroom instead. Guard offset_valid() against INT_MIN, where negation is undefined.
CVE-2026-46307 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath5k: do not access array OOB Vincent reports: > The ath5k driver seems to do an array-index-out-of-bounds access as > shown by the UBSAN kernel message: > UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath5k/base.c:1741:20 > index 4 is out of range for type 'ieee80211_tx_rate [4]' > ... > Call Trace: > <TASK> > dump_stack_lvl+0x5d/0x80 > ubsan_epilogue+0x5/0x2b > __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold+0x46/0x4b > ath5k_tasklet_tx+0x4e0/0x560 [ath5k] > tasklet_action_common+0xb5/0x1c0 It is real. 'ts->ts_final_idx' can be 3 on 5212, so: info->status.rates[ts->ts_final_idx + 1].idx = -1; with the array defined as: struct ieee80211_tx_rate rates[IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES]; while the size is: #define IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES 4 is indeed bogus. Set this 'idx = -1' sentinel only if the array index is less than the array size. As mac80211 will not look at rates beyond the size (IEEE80211_TX_MAX_RATES). Note: The effect of the OOB write is negligible. It just overwrites the next member of info->status, i.e. ack_signal.
CVE-2026-46294 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: fix a buffer overflow in ioctl processing Tony Asleson (using Claude) found a buffer overflow in dm-ioctl in the function retrieve_status: 1. The code in retrieve_status checks that the output string fits into the output buffer and writes the output string there 2. Then, the code aligns the "outptr" variable to the next 8-byte boundary: outptr = align_ptr(outptr); 3. The alignment doesn't check overflow, so outptr could point past the buffer end 4. The "for" loop is iterated again, it executes: remaining = len - (outptr - outbuf); 5. If "outptr" points past "outbuf + len", the arithmetics wraps around and the variable "remaining" contains unusually high number 6. With "remaining" being high, the code writes more data past the end of the buffer Luckily, this bug has no security implications because: 1. Only root can issue device mapper ioctls 2. The commonly used libraries that communicate with device mapper (libdevmapper and devicemapper-rs) use buffer size that is aligned to 8 bytes - thus, "outptr = align_ptr(outptr)" can't overshoot the input buffer and the bug can't happen accidentally
CVE-2026-46234 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix buffer size clamping order In vsock_update_buffer_size(), the buffer size was being clamped to the maximum first, and then to the minimum. If a user sets a minimum buffer size larger than the maximum, the minimum check overrides the maximum check, inverting the constraint. This breaks the intended socket memory boundaries by allowing the vsk->buffer_size to grow beyond the configured vsk->buffer_max_size. Fix this by checking the minimum first, and then the maximum. This ensures the buffer size never exceeds the buffer_max_size.
CVE-2026-46209 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gem: Fix inconsistent plane dimension calculation in drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs() drm_gem_fb_init_with_funcs() computes sub-sampled plane dimensions using plain integer division: unsigned int width = mode_cmd->width / (i ? info->hsub : 1); unsigned int height = mode_cmd->height / (i ? info->vsub : 1); However, the ioctl-level framebuffer_check() in drm_framebuffer.c uses drm_format_info_plane_width/height() which round up dimensions via DIV_ROUND_UP(). This inconsistency corrupts the subsequent GEM object size check for certain pixel format and dimension combinations. For example, with NV12 (vsub=2) and a 1-pixel-tall framebuffer the GEM size validation path sees height=0 instead of height=1. The expression (height - 1) then wraps to UINT_MAX as an unsigned int, causing min_size to overflow and wrap back to a small value. A tiny GEM object therefore passes the size guard, yet when the GPU accesses the chroma plane it will read or write memory beyond the object's bounds. Fix by replacing the open-coded divisions with drm_format_info_plane_width() and drm_format_info_plane_height(), which use DIV_ROUND_UP() and match the calculation already used in framebuffer_check().
CVE-2026-46191 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbcon: Avoid OOB font access if console rotation fails Clear the font buffer if the reallocation during console rotation fails in fbcon_rotate_font(). The putcs implementations for the rotated buffer will return early in this case. See [1] for an example. Currently, fbcon_rotate_font() keeps the old buffer, which is too small for the rotated font. Printing to the rotated console with a high-enough character code will overflow the font buffer. v2: - fix typos in commit message
CVE-2026-46190 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spi-nor: debugfs: fix out-of-bounds read in spi_nor_params_show() Sashiko noticed an out-of-bounds read [1]. In spi_nor_params_show(), the snor_f_names array is passed to spi_nor_print_flags() using sizeof(snor_f_names). Since snor_f_names is an array of pointers, sizeof() returns the total number of bytes occupied by the pointers (element_count * sizeof(void *)) rather than the element count itself. On 64-bit systems, this makes the passed length 8x larger than intended. Inside spi_nor_print_flags(), the 'names_len' argument is used to bounds-check the 'names' array access. An out-of-bounds read occurs if a flag bit is set that exceeds the array's actual element count but is within the inflated byte-size count. Correct this by using ARRAY_SIZE() to pass the actual number of string pointers in the array.
CVE-2026-46136 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7921: fix a potential clc buffer length underflow The buf_len is used to limit the iterations for retrieving the country power setting and may underflow under certain conditions due to changes in the power table in CLC. This underflow leads to an almost infinite loop or an invalid power setting resulting in driver initialization failure.
CVE-2026-41989 1 Gnupg 1 Libgcrypt 2026-10-15 6.7 Medium
Libgcrypt before 1.12.2 sometimes allows a heap-based buffer overflow and denial of service via crafted ECDH ciphertext to gcry_pk_decrypt.
