| CVE-2024-42154 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp_metrics: validate source addr length I don't see anything checking that TCP_METRICS_ATTR_SADDR_IPV4 is at least 4 bytes long, and the policy doesn't have an entry for this attribute at all (neither does it for IPv6 but v6 is manually validated). | ||||
| CVE-2024-42131 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: avoid overflows in dirty throttling logic The dirty throttling logic is interspersed with assumptions that dirty limits in PAGE_SIZE units fit into 32-bit (so that various multiplications fit into 64-bits). If limits end up being larger, we will hit overflows, possible divisions by 0 etc. Fix these problems by never allowing so large dirty limits as they have dubious practical value anyway. For dirty_bytes / dirty_background_bytes interfaces we can just refuse to set so large limits. For dirty_ratio / dirty_background_ratio it isn't so simple as the dirty limit is computed from the amount of available memory which can change due to memory hotplug etc. So when converting dirty limits from ratios to numbers of pages, we just don't allow the result to exceed UINT_MAX. This is root-only triggerable problem which occurs when the operator sets dirty limits to >16 TB. | ||||
| CVE-2024-42079 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix NULL pointer dereference in gfs2_log_flush In gfs2_jindex_free(), set sdp->sd_jdesc to NULL under the log flush lock to provide exclusion against gfs2_log_flush(). In gfs2_log_flush(), check if sdp->sd_jdesc is non-NULL before dereferencing it. Otherwise, we could run into a NULL pointer dereference when outstanding glock work races with an unmount (glock_work_func -> run_queue -> do_xmote -> inode_go_sync -> gfs2_log_flush). | ||||
| CVE-2024-40945 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu: Return right value in iommu_sva_bind_device() iommu_sva_bind_device() should return either a sva bond handle or an ERR_PTR value in error cases. Existing drivers (idxd and uacce) only check the return value with IS_ERR(). This could potentially lead to a kernel NULL pointer dereference issue if the function returns NULL instead of an error pointer. In reality, this doesn't cause any problems because iommu_sva_bind_device() only returns NULL when the kernel is not configured with CONFIG_IOMMU_SVA. In this case, iommu_dev_enable_feature(dev, IOMMU_DEV_FEAT_SVA) will return an error, and the device drivers won't call iommu_sva_bind_device() at all. | ||||
| CVE-2024-40901 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 7.3 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpt3sas: Avoid test/set_bit() operating in non-allocated memory There is a potential out-of-bounds access when using test_bit() on a single word. The test_bit() and set_bit() functions operate on long values, and when testing or setting a single word, they can exceed the word boundary. KASAN detects this issue and produces a dump: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in _scsih_add_device.constprop.0 (./arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:60 ./include/asm-generic/bitops/instrumented-atomic.h:29 drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_scsih.c:7331) mpt3sas Write of size 8 at addr ffff8881d26e3c60 by task kworker/u1536:2/2965 For full log, please look at [1]. Make the allocation at least the size of sizeof(unsigned long) so that set_bit() and test_bit() have sufficient room for read/write operations without overwriting unallocated memory. | CVE-2024-36927 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 4.7 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: Fix uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() KMSAN reported uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() [1]. __ip_make_skb() tests HDRINCL to know if the skb has icmphdr. However, HDRINCL can cause a race condition. If calling setsockopt(2) with IP_HDRINCL changes HDRINCL while __ip_make_skb() is running, the function will access icmphdr in the skb even if it is not included. This causes the issue reported by KMSAN. Check FLOWI_FLAG_KNOWN_NH on fl4->flowi4_flags instead of testing HDRINCL on the socket. Also, fl4->fl4_icmp_type and fl4->fl4_icmp_code are not initialized. These are union in struct flowi4 and are implicitly initialized by flowi4_init_output(), but we should not rely on specific union layout. Initialize these explicitly in raw_sendmsg(). | CVE-2024-36922 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: read txq->read_ptr under lock If we read txq->read_ptr without lock, we can read the same value twice, then obtain the lock, and reclaim from there to two different places, but crucially reclaim the same entry twice, resulting in the WARN_ONCE() a little later. Fix that by reading txq->read_ptr under lock. | ||||
| CVE-2024-36903 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: Fix potential uninit-value access in __ip6_make_skb() As it was done in commit fc1092f51567 ("ipv4: Fix uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb()") for IPv4, check FLOWI_FLAG_KNOWN_NH on fl6->flowi6_flags instead of testing HDRINCL on the socket to avoid a race condition which causes uninit-value access. | ||||
| CVE-2024-36017 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 7 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtnetlink: Correct nested IFLA_VF_VLAN_LIST attribute validation Each attribute inside a nested IFLA_VF_VLAN_LIST is assumed to be a struct ifla_vf_vlan_info so the size of such attribute needs to be at least of sizeof(struct ifla_vf_vlan_info) which is 14 bytes. The current size validation in do_setvfinfo is against NLA_HDRLEN (4 bytes) which is less than sizeof(struct ifla_vf_vlan_info) so this validation is not enough and a too small attribute might be cast to a struct ifla_vf_vlan_info, this might result in an out of bands read access when accessing the saved (casted) entry in ivvl. | ||||
| CVE-2024-35809 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2026-10-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI/PM: Drain runtime-idle callbacks before driver removal A race condition between the .runtime_idle() callback and the .remove() callback in the rtsx_pcr PCI driver leads to a kernel crash due to an unhandled page fault [1]. The problem is that rtsx_pci_runtime_idle() is not expected to be running after pm_runtime_get_sync() has been called, but the latter doesn't really guarantee that. It only guarantees that the suspend and resume callbacks will not be running when it returns. However, if a .runtime_idle() callback is already running when pm_runtime_get_sync() is called, the latter will notice that the runtime PM status of the device is RPM_ACTIVE and it will return right away without waiting for the former to complete. In fact, it cannot wait for .runtime_idle() to complete because it may be called from that callback (it arguably does not make much sense to do that, but it is not strictly prohibited). Thus in general, whoever is providing a .runtime_idle() callback needs to protect it from running in parallel with whatever code runs after pm_runtime_get_sync(). [Note that .runtime_idle() will not start after pm_runtime_get_sync() has returned, but it may continue running then if it has started earlier.] One way to address that race condition is to call pm_runtime_barrier() after pm_runtime_get_sync() (not before it, because a nonzero value of the runtime PM usage counter is necessary to prevent runtime PM callbacks from being invoked) to wait for the .runtime_idle() callback to complete should it be running at that point. A suitable place for doing that is in pci_device_remove() which calls pm_runtime_get_sync() before removing the driver, so it may as well call pm_runtime_barrier() subsequently, which will prevent the race in question from occurring, not just in the rtsx_pcr driver, but in any PCI drivers providing .runtime_idle() callbacks. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2466 | 5 Apple, Curl, Haxx and 2 more | 14 Macos, Libcurl, Curl and 11 more | 2026-10-15 | 6.5 Medium |
| libcurl did not check the server certificate of TLS connections done to a host specified as an IP address, when built to use mbedTLS. libcurl would wrongly avoid using the set hostname function when the specified hostname was given as an IP address, therefore completely skipping the certificate check. This affects all uses of TLS protocols (HTTPS, FTPS, IMAPS, POPS3, SMTPS, etc). | ||||
| CVE-2024-2398 | 6 Apple, Curl, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 27 Macos, Curl, Fedora and 24 more | 2026-10-15 | 8.6 High |
| When an application tells libcurl it wants to allow HTTP/2 server push, and the amount of received headers for the push surpasses the maximum allowed limit (1000), libcurl aborts the server push. When aborting, libcurl inadvertently does not free all the previously allocated headers and instead leaks the memory. Further, this error condition fails silently and is therefore not easily detected by an application. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2379 | 4 Apple, Haxx, Netapp and 1 more | 21 Macos, Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager and 18 more | 2026-10-15 | 6.3 Medium |
| libcurl skips the certificate verification for a QUIC connection under certain conditions, when built to use wolfSSL. If told to use an unknown/bad cipher or curve, the error path accidentally skips the verification and returns OK, thus ignoring any certificate problems. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2236 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 5.9 Medium |
| A timing-based side-channel flaw was found in libgcrypt's RSA implementation. This issue may allow a remote attacker to initiate a Bleichenbacher-style attack, which can lead to the decryption of RSA ciphertexts. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2004 | 5 Apple, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 2 more | 16 Macos, Fedora, Curl and 13 more | 2026-10-15 | 3.5 Low |
| When a protocol selection parameter option disables all protocols without adding any then the default set of protocols would remain in the allowed set due to an error in the logic for removing protocols. The below command would perform a request to curl.se with a plaintext protocol which has been explicitly disabled. curl --proto -all,-http http://curl.se The flaw is only present if the set of selected protocols disables the entire set of available protocols, in itself a command with no practical use and therefore unlikely to be encountered in real situations. The curl security team has thus assessed this to be low severity bug. | ||||
| CVE-2024-28956 | 1 Redhat | 6 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 3 more | 2026-10-15 | 5.6 Medium |

| CVE-2024-28835 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 5 Medium |
| A flaw has been discovered in GnuTLS where an application crash can be induced when attempting to verify a specially crafted .pem bundle using the "certtool --verify-chain" command. | ||||
| CVE-2024-28834 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-15 | 5.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GnuTLS. The Minerva attack is a cryptographic vulnerability that exploits deterministic behavior in systems like GnuTLS, leading to side-channel leaks. In specific scenarios, such as when using the GNUTLS_PRIVKEY_FLAG_REPRODUCIBLE flag, it can result in a noticeable step in nonce size from 513 to 512 bits, exposing a potential timing side-channel. | ||||
