In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regmap: maple: free entry on mas_store_gfp() failure regcache_maple_write() allocates a new block ('entry') to merge adjacent ranges and then stores it with mas_store_gfp(). When mas_store_gfp() fails, the new 'entry' remains allocated and is never freed, leaking memory. Free 'entry' on the failure path; on success continue freeing the replaced neighbor blocks ('lower', 'upper').

Summary
  • (es) En el kernel de Linux, la siguiente vulnerabilidad ha sido resuelta: regmap: maple: liberar entrada en caso de fallo de mas_store_gfp() regcache_maple_write() asigna un nuevo bloque ('entrada') para fusionar rangos adyacentes y luego lo almacena con mas_store_gfp(). Cuando mas_store_gfp() falla, la nueva 'entrada' permanece asignada y nunca es liberada, provocando una fuga de memoria. Liberar 'entrada' en la ruta de fallo; en caso de éxito, continuar liberando los bloques vecinos reemplazados ('inferior', 'superior').
