This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of ChargePoint Home Flex charging stations. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the wlanapp module. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root.

  • (es) Esta vulnerabilidad permite a los atacantes adyacentes a la red ejecutar código arbitrario en las instalaciones afectadas de las estaciones de carga ChargePoint Home Flex. No se requiere autenticación para explotar esta vulnerabilidad. La falla específica existe dentro del módulo wlanapp. El problema es el resultado de la falta de validación adecuada de una cadena proporcionada por el usuario antes de usarla para ejecutar una llamada al sistema. Un atacante puede aprovechar esta vulnerabilidad para ejecutar código en el contexto de la raíz.
