CVSS v3.1 |
| FreeRDP from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in parse_nla_mode_pdu that allows unauthenticated attackers to exhaust server memory. Attackers can complete TLS and stream bytes not beginning with the DER SEQUENCE tag 0x30, causing unbounded receive buffer growth before NLA authentication. |
| FreeRDP from 2.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an unbounded reassembly vulnerability in WTSProcessChannelData that fails to enforce cumulative fragment limits. Authenticated clients can start a static virtual channel message, withhold the LAST flag, and send endless fragments to exhaust server memory. |
| A flaw was found in the SmallRye Fault Tolerance library, which is used by Quarkus to provide strategies like retries and circuit breakers for microservices. The issue occurs when using the ApplyGuard or ApplyFaultTolerance annotations, where the library fails to release internal tracking objects after each request. This causes a steady increase in memory usage that eventually leads to the application slowing down and crashing due to lack of memory. |
| A flaw was found in RESTEasy's IIOImageProvider, which decodes attacker-supplied image request bodies without enforcing any limit on the declared image dimensions or pixel count. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a small crafted image declaring enormous dimensions to trigger a very large memory allocation, exhausting the JVM heap and resulting in a denial of service. |
| undici is an HTTP client library for Node.js. In versions 5.15.0 through 6.29.0, 7.0.0 through 7.30.0, and 8.0.0 through 8.12.1, its WebSocket client, including the bundled WebSocket exposed by Node.js, can be driven to exhaust process memory by a malicious or compromised WebSocket server. For every PING frame received, the client automatically writes a PONG response and ignores the backpressure signal from the socket write, so a server that streams small PING frames while never reading the client's PONGs makes the outbound write queue and heap grow without bound until the Node.js process runs out of memory and terminates. The attack is remote and unauthenticated, needs only a normal WebSocket connection, and is asymmetric, since small inbound PINGs produce a much larger retained outbound queue, with availability the only impact. The issue is fixed in undici 6.29.1, 7.30.1, and 8.12.2, which pause WebSocket frame parsing when the automatic PONG response hits socket backpressure and resume on drain, bounding the outbound queue, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. There is no workaround. |
| AdonisJS HTTP Server is a package for handling HTTP requests in the AdonisJS framework. Prior to 8.2.2 and 9.1.1, the regular expression returned by router.matchers.slug() contains adjacent greedy repetitions with overlapping character classes. When an application applies this matcher to an attacker-controlled route parameter, a long slug ending in a character rejected by the final assertion causes quadratic backtracking and excessive CPU use. Route matching occurs before route and group middleware, so authentication or rate-limiting middleware attached to the route may not prevent an unauthenticated request from blocking the Node.js event loop and stopping the worker from serving unrelated requests or health checks. This issue is fixed in versions 8.2.2 and 9.1.1. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.15 and 4.0.22 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6 and 4.3.1, Atom exhaustion: OAuth2 JWT tag: scope values. extractscopes/1 parses scopes of the form .tag: and calls rabbitdatacoercion:toatom() to convert to a tag atom. The token signature is verified first, so the attacker cannot forge scopes , but in IdP configurations where scope content is user-influenced, each login with a novel tag value leaks one In deployments where users can influence the scopes included in their IdP-issued JWT rabbitmqauthbackendoauth2 enabled IdP permits attacker-influenced scope values in signed tokens. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15 and 4.0.22 and 4.1.11 and 4.2.6 and 4.3.1. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 3.13.0 until 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6, mechanisms/1 applied list_to_atom/1 to every colon-delimited token in an attacker-controlled auth_mechanism value, permanently consuming Erlang VM atoms and allowing the node to be crashed with a large request. Exploitation requires the Shovel or Federation plugin to be in use, and setting auth_mechanism requires the policymaker tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, and 4.2.6. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.0 fails to close prior serial handles in serial_process_irp_create, allowing a malicious RDP server to exhaust file descriptors. Attackers can send repeated serial IRP_MJ_CREATE requests to accumulate descriptors and terminate the client at the CommReadFile FD_SETSIZE assertion. |
| In sshd and ssh in OpenSSH before 10.6, there is no check for whether the maximum packet length is exceeded during decompression of highly compressed data. |
| Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex_core allows an untrusted repository mirror, or a server answering hex_core's API requests, to exhaust the memory of the Erlang VM running hex_core. The same code is vendored in Hex (mix_hex_repo, mix_hex_api) and rebar3 (r3_hex_repo, r3_hex_api).
hex_repo:get_names/1, hex_repo:get_versions/1, hex_repo:get_package/2 and hex_repo:get_policy/2 decompress the registry response with zlib:gunzip/1 and decode the signed envelope before verifying its signature. A mirror doesn't have the repository's private key, but it chooses the compressed bytes, so a small response decompresses into an envelope of any size before the signature check rejects it.
hex_api decodes responses with the application/vnd.hex+erlang content type through hex_safe_binary_to_term:safe_binary_to_term/1, which calls binary_to_term(Binary, [safe]). The safe option prevents atom creation, but it accepts compressed terms and doesn't limit the size of the decoded term, and the check that rejects functions and ports runs after the term has been built. The fix for CVE-2026-21619 added the safe option and that check without bounding the decoded size.
This issue affects rebar3: from 3.9.1 before 3.27.3; hex: from 2.1.0 before 2.5.2; hex_core: from 0.1.0 before 0.20.0. |
| kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.145.0 until 0.146.0, openapi3filter repeatedly calls regexp.MustCompile for the same parameter-name regular expression inside the per-query-key loop in urlValuesDecoder.DecodeObject used to decode a deepObject query parameter. An unauthenticated remote client can send an affected endpoint a request containing many unrelated query keys, causing ValidateRequest to perform work and allocations proportional to the attacker-controlled key count for every deepObject parameter. The expression itself is fixed and this is not regular expression denial of service; the resource consumption comes from loop-invariant recompilation. This issue is fixed in version 0.146.0. |
| A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users. |
| A denial of service vulnerability exists in the XML parsing of multiple versions of OpenNMS Meridian and Horizon. OpenNMS parsed XML without an effective limit on entity expansion. A document with a DOCTYPE that declares internal entities can expand to a very large value and exhaust the server memory. An authenticated user with provisioning access can supply such a document through a requisition or foreign-source import, which includes a remote requisition URL that the server fetches and parses. Both deeply nested entities and a single large entity referenced many times cause the memory exhaustion. The fix caps the number of entity expansions for all XML parsing and rejects any DOCTYPE in requisition and foreign-source XML.
The solution is to upgrade to Meridian 2024.3.14, 2025.0.11, 2026.0.1 and Horizon 36.0.5 or newer. Meridian and Horizon installation instructions state that they are intended for installation within an organization's private networks and should not be directly accessible from the Internet. |
| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in mtrudel bandit allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to pin HTTP/2 stream processes indefinitely via a trickle of small WINDOW_UPDATE frames. A stream whose response outruns the connection or stream send window blocks until the peer grants more window, and each block carries a 15 second deadline. Both deadlines restart whenever the peer makes partial progress. Bandit.HTTP2.Connection.finish_data/5 re-queues a partially advanced send in pending_sends with a fresh expires_at, so every WINDOW_UPDATE on stream 0, and every SETTINGS frame, resets the clock. Bandit.HTTP2.Stream.send_data/3 recurses on each stream WINDOW_UPDATE and re-arms a fresh after read_timeout. A peer that grants a few bytes every few seconds keeps the blocked stream process, its Plug state and any resource it holds mid-response alive for as long as it keeps dripping, and repeats this across streams and connections to exhaust server processes and memory.
The two paths are independent. The stream-level block is reached on its own by widening the connection window with a large WINDOW_UPDATE on stream 0 and shrinking the per-stream window with a small SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE, so closing only the connection-level path leaves it exploitable.
This issue affects bandit: from 1.4.0 before 1.13.0. |
| CAI Content Credentials is affected by an Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |
| In Apache CXF, the parser for multipart/MTOM attachment part headers did not fully enforce the configured attachment-max-header-size (default 300 characters) and attachment-headers-max-count (default 500) limits. The size limit was applied only to each physical line, not to a header value built from continuation lines or to the combined values of a repeated header. The count limit was checked against the number of distinct header names, not the total number of header lines. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could send a multipart request with very large folded or repeated part headers. The server would then allocate memory without bound, causing a denial of service.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue. |
| Modules/_pickle.c in Python before 3.7.1 has an integer overflow via a large LONG_BINPUT value that is mishandled during a "resize to twice the size" attempt. This issue might cause memory exhaustion, but is only relevant if the pickle format is used for serializing tens or hundreds of gigabytes of data. This issue is fixed in: v3.4.10, v3.4.10rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.7rc1, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.7, v3.6.7rc1, v3.6.7rc2, v3.6.8, v3.6.8rc1, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.1, v3.7.1rc1, v3.7.1rc2, v3.7.2, v3.7.2rc1, v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9. |
| An issue has been found in JasPer 2.0.14. There is a memory leak in jas_malloc.c when called from jpc_unk_getparms in jpc_cs.c. |
| An issue was discovered in cp-demangle.c in GNU libiberty, as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.31. There is a stack consumption vulnerability resulting from infinite recursion in the functions d_name(), d_encoding(), and d_local_name() in cp-demangle.c. Remote attackers could leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial-of-service via an ELF file, as demonstrated by nm. |
