CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in WildFly. A user with the `Monitor` role, which is the lowest standard Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) role, can exploit a path traversal vulnerability in the `take-snapshot` operation. By manipulating the `name` parameter, this user can write a copy of the server configuration to an arbitrary location. This allows the `Monitor` role to read back the server configuration, including sensitive credentials, which would otherwise be restricted by RBAC, leading to information disclosure. |
| Dell Unisphere for PowerMax vApp, version(s) 9.2.4.x, contain(s) an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information disclosure. |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| The EnergizeLab Eilik and EilikO AI skill upload endpoint, served by the FastAPI AI inference and profiling services, does not require authentication and does not constrain uploaded file paths. An unauthenticated remote attacker can use path traversal to write arbitrary files, and thereby tamper with AI skill files used by Eilik and EilikO robots. |
| A flaw was found in the ContentRepositoryImpl.copyExplodedContent function of the wildfly-core library, which is used by WildFly and JBoss EAP to manage server deployments. The issue occurs when the library processes an unsanitized deployment name. Due to a missing containment check, an attacker with the Deployer RBAC role can use path traversal sequences to access files outside the restricted deployment directory. This can allow the attacker to delete arbitrary directories or create files with arbitrary content, leading to a full privilege escalation to the management SuperUser role. |
| A flaw was found in OpenSSH. During an sftp copy, a malicious server can supply an empty name, a slash-only path, or a ".." basename that sftp uses as the local destination, writing outside the directory the user selected. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 allow an authenticated Query Console user to supply unsafe path values to a privileged filesystem helper, which could result in disclosure of arbitrary server files. |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 contain privileged legacy InfoStudio modules that do not sufficiently validate user-controlled file paths and user-context values. Exploitation could result in unauthorized access to server files or execution under an unintended identity. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in Grav CMS 2.0.3 through 2.0.6 allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via the GravExtension.php and the mediaDirFunc method. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in the OTRS SendSupportBundle functionality allows an authenticated administrator to reference file paths outside the intended directory.
This may allow files accessible to the OTRS application process to be deleted. The vulnerability does not bypass operating system file permissions. On OTRS versions prior to OTRS 7, the effective permissions of the web server process are relevant. Starting with OTRS 7, access is limited by the permissions of the dedicated OTRS user. Files with overly permissive ownership or file system permissions may therefore also be affected.
The affected functionality may additionally attempt to include controlled files in a support bundle. However, support bundles are sent to a predefined OTRS support address, and direct disclosure of arbitrary files to the attacker has not been demonstrated.
An attacker therefore requires valid administrative access to exploit the vulnerable functionality. The primary demonstrated impact is the deletion of files outside the intended directory within the effective permissions of the OTRS application process.
This issue affects OTRS:
* 7.0.X
* 8.0.X
* 2023.X
* 2024.X
* 2025.X
* 2026.X before 2026.7.X
Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. Products based on the ((OTRS)) Community Edition also very likely to be affected |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Karavan.
A project file name supplied through the project file API was used verbatim as a path segment when the project was written to the working copy for a Git commit, so a name containing `../` sequences caused the file content to be written outside the project directory, to any location writable by the Karavan process. An authenticated user of any role could use this to overwrite application configuration or files on the application classpath and so execute code in the Karavan container.
This issue affects Apache Camel Karavan: from 3.18.0 before 4.22.1.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.1, which fixes the issue. |
| Path traversal vulnerabilities in Palo Alto Networks Checkov by Prisma® Cloud enable an unauthenticated local user to write files to arbitrary locations on the scanning filesystem. |
| A path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect Video Station. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to read the contents of unexpected files or system data.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
Video Station 5.8.5 and later |
| An Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') [CWE-22] vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiOS 7.4.0 through 7.4.9, FortiOS 7.2 all versions, FortiOS 7.0 all versions, FortiOS 6.4 all versions, FortiPAM 1.7.0, FortiPAM 1.6 all versions, FortiPAM 1.5 all versions, FortiPAM 1.4 all versions, FortiPAM 1.3 all versions, FortiPAM 1.2 all versions, FortiPAM 1.1 all versions, FortiPAM 1.0 all versions, FortiProxy 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiProxy 7.4.0 through 7.4.11, FortiProxy 7.2 all versions, FortiProxy 7.0 all versions, FortiSwitchManager 7.2.0 through 7.2.7, FortiSwitchManager 7.0.0 through 7.0.6 may allow an authenticated attacker with admin profile and at least read-write permissions to write or delete arbitrary files via specific CLI commands. |
| A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit a path traversal vulnerability by manipulating the `lng` and `ns` query parameters in the `/locales/resource.json` endpoint. This allows the attacker to read sensitive `*.json` files from the pod filesystem, including plugin manifests and configuration files. Furthermore, this flaw can enable path traversal against registered dynamic-plugin backends. |
| kedro-datasets from 9.3.0 through 9.6.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in MatplotlibDataset.save() that allows attackers to write files outside the dataset directory by supplying absolute plot names. Because validate_sub_path() strips leading slashes while pathlib's join discards the base path, attackers can create or overwrite files anywhere the process can write. |
| NetLicensing MCP Server is a natural-language interface that enables agentic applications to manage the software-licensing lifecycle in Labs64 NetLicensing. Prior to 0.1.8, netlicensing_get_product passes the caller-controlled product_number to src/netlicensing_mcp/tools/products.py, which interpolates it into a REST path consumed by nl_get() in src/netlicensing_mcp/client.py without path-segment validation. A traversal segment can be normalized from the intended product path to the /token endpoint, after which the response is serialized through _wrap_json instead of _wrap_json_token_read, bypassing redact_token_read() protections for APIKEY number and SHOP shopURL fields. An authenticated MCP client with a non-administrative API key can retrieve plaintext token values, and a recovered administrative token can provide broad read, write, and delete access to the NetLicensing account. This issue is fixed in version 0.1.8. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in ZZIPlib 0.13.69 allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in a zip file, because of the function unzzip_cat in the bins/unzzipcat-mem.c file. |
| OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the OpenVPN Client Specific Override common_name field accepts path traversal sequences and openvpn_csc_conf_write() concatenates the value into /var/etc/openvpn-csc/<vpnid>/<common_name> without normalization or a basename check. The affected event handlers are client_connect.php and user_pass_verify.php. An authenticated user with Client Specific Override privileges can store the traversal value, and a matching OpenVPN client-connect or authentication event causes a generated CSO file to be written outside the intended directory. The file content is generated OpenVPN configuration rather than arbitrary bytes, and practical exploitation requires the attacker to cause a matching common name or username to be processed. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11. |
| OpenPrinting CUPS is an open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. Prior to 2.4.20, copy_banner() in scheduler/ipp.c uses the attacker-controlled IPP attributes-natural-language value as a directory component beneath DataDir/banners when processing a job-sheets banner. The job-sheets value must first match a registered banner basename, and the traversed path must contain a matching reachable basename; selecting an arbitrary target as demonstrated additionally requires pre-positioned path state such as a symlink with that basename. Subject to the scheduler's filesystem and sandbox access, path separators in the language value can escape the intended banner directory, make the root scheduler open the reachable file, and copy its bytes into a job-sheet spool object that a configured backend can deliver to an attacker-observable endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 2.4.20. |
