CVSS v3.1 |
| IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 could allow a remote attacker to perform an arbitrary file write due to path traversal. |
| Hugo before v0.167.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in css.Sass that allows malicious themes or modules to read files outside the project root through the Sass compiler's import fallback. Attackers can ship stylesheets with relative, absolute, or symlinked @import or @use targets to compile readable files into the published site CSS. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in gleam-lang gleam allows a malicious package publisher to delete a directory outside the project's build directory when a developer builds a project.
A Hex package release's metadata carries an app field with the release's OTP application name. Gleam reads this field from the hex.pm release API when it downloads dependencies and uses it as the package's build directory name without validating it (hex_manifest_package in compiler-cli/src/dependencies.rs, ProjectPaths::build_directory_for_package). When a dependency fails to compile, Gleam deletes that directory with remove_dir_all. hex.pm didn't restrict the field to a directory name before 2026-10-12, so a publisher could set it to a value such as ../../../../target or an absolute path. When a project depends on such a release directly or transitively and the release fails to compile, gleam build, gleam check, gleam run, gleam test or gleam export deletes the directory the name resolves to. For a pure Gleam package no publisher code runs.
This issue affects gleam: from 0.32.4 before 1.19.2. |
| A malicious or compromised Flatpak repository can write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations on the host filesystem via extract_extra_data(). On system installs, the write happens as root. Two issues combine: `files/extra` is resolved via path operations that follow symlinks, and blob names from `xa.extra-data-sources` are not sanitized against `..` traversal. |
| In Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller v5.12.6 and below, FileCopyService uses a remote file identifier when constructing a local temporary file path without enforcing containment. This can cause FileCopyService to write attacker-controlled content to filesystem locations writable by the service account. This can result in remote code execution when an executable IIS-served directory is writable. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in erlang rebar3 allows a malicious package publisher to delete a directory outside the project's _build directory and extract package files into it when a developer fetches dependencies.
A package release's dependencies in a Hex registry carry an app field that names the dependency's OTP application. rebar3 uses this field as the dependency's name without validating it (rebar_packages:parse_deps/1) and builds the dependency's directory from that name (rebar_app_utils:dep_to_app/7). rebar_fetch:download_source_online/2 deletes that directory with rm -rf and moves the fetched package into it. hex.pm didn't restrict the field to a directory name before 2026-10-12, so a publisher could set it to a value such as ../../../../target. When a project depends on such a release directly or transitively, rebar3 get-deps deletes the directory the name resolves to and writes the dependency's files there. This happens before the dependency's own rebar.config.script is evaluated, and get-deps compiles nothing.
This issue affects rebar3: from 3.7.0-rc1 before 3.27.2. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher to delete a directory outside the project's deps directory and extract package files into it when a developer fetches dependencies.
A package release's requirements carry an app label that names the dependency's OTP application. Hex takes this label from the repository's signed registry and uses it as the dependency's application name without validating it (Hex.RemoteConverger.deps/2, Hex.Mix.to_lock/1). Mix derives the dependency's checkout directory as deps/<app>, and Hex.SCM.update/1 runs File.rm_rf!/1 on that directory and unpacks the package into it. hex.pm only checks the label's length, so a publisher can set it to a value such as ../../target. When a project depends on such a release directly or transitively, mix deps.get or mix deps.update deletes the directory the label resolves to and writes the labelled package's files there. This happens before any dependency code is compiled.
This issue affects hex: from 0.6.0 before 2.5.2. |
| The SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.74.3 via the get_instance_css function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The widget's normal update()/sanitize_field_input() pipeline — which would reject non-hex color values — is bypassed entirely because the [siteorigin_widget] shortcode handler calls $the_widget->widget() directly on the attacker-supplied decoded JSON instance. |
| The Divi Plus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to, and including, 2.4.0 via the 'svg_image' parameter of the /wp-json/elicus/v1/dipl-modules/svg-animator REST endpoint. This is due to the endpoint's permission callback (SVGAnimatorController::index_permission) returning true unconditionally combined with insufficient validation of the 'svg_image' input — sanitize_text_field() and esc_html() do not restrict filesystem paths, the file:// stream wrapper, or arbitrary URLs — before it is passed to file_get_contents() (with a wp_remote_get() fallback) and the raw response body is returned in the JSON 'html' field. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. |
| The PPOM – Product Addons & Custom Fields for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the rename_files function in all versions up to, and including, 34.0.10 This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The relocated file is moved byte-identically into the publicly accessible wp-content/uploads/ppom_files/confirmed/ directory, meaning the attack also results in arbitrary file read for any web-readable file on the server. |
| The Post Export Import with Media plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.17.1 via the 'file_path' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. This requires the attacker to upload a crafted ZIP archive containing a media_metadata.json file with path traversal sequences in the file_path field while specifying an allowed file extension for the destination filename to bypass the extension guard introduced in version 1.13.2. |
| The Listdom: AI-powered Business Directory with Classifieds Ads Listings plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the LSD_Menus_IX_CSV::import function in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.2 This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). |
| Newell Brands DYMO ID 1.5.1.71 resolves its plugin Modules directory relative to the process working directory. An attacker could store a job file alongside malicious modules / DLL that sets the process working directory to the job file's folder when a victim clicks on the file, resulting in code execution at the victim's privilege level. Fixed in 1.6.0. |
| pH7Builder (pH7 Social Dating CMS) before 18.5.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the picture module deletePhoto() action that allows authenticated members to delete arbitrary files. Attackers can supply ../ sequences in the POST picture_link parameter to remove other members' photos or configuration and cache files, causing content loss and denial of service. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in ZealousWeb Generate PDF using Contact Form 7 generate-pdf-using-contact-form-7 allows Path Traversal. This issue affects Generate PDF using Contact Form 7: from n/a through 4.2.1. |
| Subscriber Arbitrary File Deletion in FoodBakery <= 4.6 versions. |
| Author Arbitrary File Deletion in Presto Player Pro <= 3.0.1 versions. |
| Subscriber Arbitrary File Deletion in PeepSo <= 9.0.5.4 versions. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in rtCamp Inc. rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress buddypress-media allows Path Traversal. This issue affects rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress: from n/a through 4.7.13. |
| KodExplorer before 4.55 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the unzip_pre_name() function within app/function/helper.function.php, where a single non-recursive str_replace() sanitization pass can be bypassed using crafted filenames like "....//", combined with PclZip's extract() call in KodArchive.class.php lacking the PCLZIP_OPT_EXTRACT_DIR_RESTRICTION option. Authenticated attackers can upload a malicious ZIP archive with traversal sequences to overwrite arbitrary files such as core JavaScript assets, enabling stored XSS that leads to admin account takeover and subsequent remote code execution via unrestricted PHP file upload. |
