net: openvswitch: Fix the dead loop of MPLS parse
The unexpected MPLS packet may not end with the bottom label stack.
When there are many stacks, The label count value has wrapped around.
A dead loop occurs, soft lockup/CPU stuck finally.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mdiobus: Fix potential out-of-bounds read/write access
When using publicly available tools like 'mdio-tools' to read/write data
from/to network interface and its PHY via mdiobus, there is no verification of
parameters passed to the ioctl and it accepts any mdio address.
Currently there is support for 32 addresses in kernel via PHY_MAX_ADDR define,
but it is possible to pass higher value than that via ioctl.
While read/write operation should generally fail in this case,
mdiobus provides stats array, where wrong address may allow out-of-bounds
read/write.
Fix that by adding address verification before read/write operation.
While this excludes this access from any statistics, it improves security of
read/write operation. |

Above issue happens as ext4_xattr_delete_inode() isn't check xattr
is valid if xattr is in inode.
To solve above issue call xattr_check_inode() check if xattr if valid
in inode. In fact, we can directly verify in ext4_iget_extra_inode(),
so that there is no divergent verification. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Propagate error from htab_lock_bucket() to userspace
In __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() if htab_lock_bucket() returns
-EBUSY, it will go to next bucket. Going to next bucket may not only
skip the elements in current bucket silently, but also incur
out-of-bound memory access or expose kernel memory to userspace if
current bucket_cnt is greater than bucket_size or zero.
Fixing it by stopping batch operation and returning -EBUSY when
htab_lock_bucket() fails, and the application can retry or skip the busy
batch as needed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vt: Clear selection before changing the font
When changing the console font with ioctl(KDFONTOP) the new font size
can be bigger than the previous font. A previous selection may thus now
be outside of the new screen size and thus trigger out-of-bounds
accesses to graphics memory if the selection is removed in
vc_do_resize().
Prevent such out-of-memory accesses by dropping the selection before the
various con_font_set() console handlers are called. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dlm: fix plock invalid read
This patch fixes an invalid read showed by KASAN. A unlock will allocate a
"struct plock_op" and a followed send_op() will append it to a global
send_list data structure. In some cases a followed dev_read() moves it
to recv_list and dev_write() will cast it to "struct plock_xop" and access
fields which are only available in those structures. At this point an
invalid read happens by accessing those fields.
To fix this issue the "callback" field is moved to "struct plock_op" to
indicate that a cast to "plock_xop" is allowed and does the additional
"plock_xop" handling if set.
Example of the KASAN output which showed the invalid read:

| Buffer over-read in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| Integer overflow or wraparound in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow for the Intel(R) Open Volume Kernel Library (Intel(R) Open VKL) library maintained by intel(R) before version 2.0.2 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow a denial of service. System software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (low) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.29.2, the experimental dynamic client registration and client ID metadata document features in the @backstage/plugin-auth-backend use full-string matcher.isMatch glob matching for auth.experimentalDynamicClientRegistration.allowedRedirectUriPatterns and the auth.experimentalClientIdMetadataDocuments allowedClientIdPatterns and allowedRedirectUriPatterns options. A hostname wildcard can match across URL component boundaries, allowing an attacker-controlled redirect URI with a trusted hostname suffix in its path to pass the allowlist and receive an OAuth authorization code after a victim completes the flow. Patterns without an explicit protocol can match unintended protocols, and redirect URIs containing embedded credentials are accepted after user information is stripped for matching. The features are experimental and disabled by default; only deployments that enable them and configure custom wildcard-hostname or protocol-less patterns are affected. This issue is first fixed in prerelease version 0.29.2. |
| User-controlled values are not sufficiently neutralized when included in CSV exports. Values originating from user input, including data submitted by authenticated users or received through external communication channels such as email, may be stored in fields that are later included in CSV exports. An attacker can therefore inject values beginning with spreadsheet formula characters such as =, +, -, or @. An attacker does not necessarily require an authenticated account if the affected field can be populated through an external input channel such as incoming email.
When an affected CSV file is opened in spreadsheet software, the application may interpret these values as formulas instead of plain text. Depending on the spreadsheet application and its security configuration, a malicious formula may cause unintended actions, disclose information, or invoke external functionality. Exploitation may require the user opening the exported CSV file to confirm one or more security warning dialogs. The vulnerability does not execute code on the OTRS server; any additional impact occurs in the spreadsheet application used to process the exported file.
This issue affects OTRS:

* 2023.X
* 2024.X
* 2025.X

Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. Products based on the ((OTRS)) Community Edition also very likely to be affected |
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in certain query-processing functionality. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause server instability or disclose limited information from process memory. |

| NVIDIA DALI contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause an uncontrolled out-of-bounds read. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to information disclosure and denial of service. |
| WildMIDI through 0.5.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in _WM_ParseNewHmi() in src/f_hmi.c that reads past buffers when handling 0xfe sub-events. Attackers can supply a crafted HMI file placing a 0xfe 0x10 sub-event near the buffer end to read up to four bytes past the allocation, crashing the decoding application. |
| EarthScope libmseed through 3.5.4 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in ms3_detect() in parseutils.c that reads past truncated miniSEED 2 record buffers. Attackers can supply a 40 to 47 byte buffer passing MS2_ISVALIDHEADER to msr3_parse() or ms3_detect(), over-reading up to 8 bytes and potentially crashing the process. |
| Game Music Emu (libgme) through 0.6.5 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Classic_Emu::mute_voices_ that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying NSF files whose voice count exceeds the 16-entry voice-type table. Attackers can craft an NSF header with chip_flags 0x3F, opened through gme_open_data or gme_open_file, to read past the static array during loading and cause denial of service. |
| ytnef through 2.1.2 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in MAPIPrint() that allows attackers to read past heap allocations by supplying compressed RTF properties. Attackers can deliver a crafted winmail.dat whose decompressed RTF lacks a NUL terminator, causing printf to over-read, crashing ytnefprint and leaking adjacent heap bytes. |
