CVSS v3.1 |
| When the PCM sample array needs to grow, the RACK stack doubles a 16-bit allocation counter. Repeated doublings caused the counter to wrap to zero, resulting in a near-zero-length allocation followed by a copy of the existing samples into the undersized buffer. A remote peer can trigger the expansion by sending a sufficient number of ACKs on an established connection.
A remote attacker who can establish a TCP connection to a system using the RACK stack can trigger an out-of-bounds write of approximately 512 KB in the kernel heap possibly resulting in a kernel panic. |
| Post-authentication Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability has been identified in the SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM) on-prem which in specific conditions could potentially enable a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary OS commands, resulting in remote code execution. |
| A flaw was found in Ghostscript. When Ghostscript renders a crafted PostScript or EPS document, it can bypass the -dSAFER sandbox and execute arbitrary shell commands in the context of the Ghostscript process. The issue chains memory corruption in document parsing with disabling of internal path access controls at runtime. An attacker can deliver the document directly or through formats that delegate rendering to Ghostscript (for example EPS import or print conversion workflows). Successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data accessible to the process running Ghostscript. |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. Integer overflow in chain length checks, and missing length checks on the RSA path, can overflow a host buffer in the vhost-crypto backend. |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. A guest can supply an avail-ring descriptor index that is used without bounds checking, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost-crypto backend. |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest can desynchronize virtqueue size from inflight descriptor table size, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost process. |
| OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the Firewall Alias GeoIP importer's process_zip() and process_gzip() paths in src/opnsense/scripts/filter/lib/alias/geoip.py use an unvalidated CSV country_code value to construct output filenames below /usr/local/share/GeoIP/alias. A user with Firewall Alias Edit privilege can configure an attacker-controlled GeoIP source URL and supply an archive whose country code traverses into another existing directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written as root with an -IPv4 or -IPv6 suffix. A crafted newsyslog fragment and oversized log file can use the default hourly root cron job to execute commands as root, resulting in complete firewall compromise. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11. |
| Netgate pfSense FRR package (pfSense-pkg-frr) 2.0.2_1 and source revision 2.1.2_1 contain an OS command injection vulnerability in the FRR status filter. An authenticated WebGUI user with only the page-status-frr privilege can supply a filter value that breaks out of a single-quoted sed expression into which escapeshellarg() output is concatenated. Shell command substitution is then evaluated by a popen() pipeline, allowing attacker-selected commands to execute as root. There are updated FRR packages for pfSense Plus 26.07/26.03.1 and CE 2.9.0/2.8.1. |
| FreeRDP 3.3.0 before 3.32.0, when built with WINPR_UTILS_IMAGE_JPEG=ON, has a heap-based out-of-bounds write in winpr_convert_from_jpeg because grayscale JPEG buffers are sized from one input component rather than three BGR output components. A malicious RDP server can offer a grayscale JPEG via clipboard redirection, corrupting client memory and crashing it when the item is pasted as CF_DIB bitmap data. |
| A vulnerability has been found in GPAC up to 26.07.0. This vulnerability affects the function gf_m2ts_decode_ait of the file src/media_tools/ait.c of the component AIT Parser. Such manipulation leads to out-of-bounds write. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The name of the patch is 6d2c21a1a688abb20d0111b608db3b6f44d348f4. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue. |
| A flaw has been found in Wavlink WL-WN592AX6 250422. This issue affects the function system of the component wmapd Daemon. Executing a manipulation can lead to os command injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure. |
| The HDA audio device model did not check for zero-length Buffer Descriptor List (BDL) entries when starting a stream. A zero-length entry caused an out-of-bounds read or write during DMA transfer processing. BDL fields were also subject to modification by the guest after validation.
A malicious guest can crash the bhyve process or potentially execute arbitrary code in the host userspace context running the virtual machine, subject to bhyve's Capsicum sandbox. |
| A vulnerability was found in Linksys E1700 1.0.0.4.003. This affects the function setLinksysIpv6 of the file /goform/setLinksysIpv6. The manipulation of the argument _6rd_prefix/_6rd_prefix_len results in os command injection. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| A vulnerability was detected in TRENDnet TEW-751DR, TEW-752DRU and TEW733GR 1.03B01/1.03B03. Affected is the function fwrite of the file pigwidgeon.cgi of the component Web Management Backend. The manipulation of the argument service results in os command injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor confirms: "As this router was EOL'd in 2011, we have no way of testing if such vulnerability exists. We will notify our customers of a potential vulnerability on this product." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| A heap-based out-of-bounds write in the ws_read_frame function (src/bolt/ws.c) and the buffer_apply_mask function (src/bolt/buffer.c) in FalkorDB before 4.20.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service and possibly corrupt heap memory by sending a WebSocket frame with a 64-bit extended payload length to the Bolt port. The payload length is not bounded, and the only bounds check in buffer_apply_mask is an ASSERT(), which is compiled out in release builds, so the function XORs memory beyond the end of the receive buffer with the attacker-supplied mask key. Only deployments that enable the Bolt endpoint (BOLT_PORT, disabled by default) are affected. |
| A heap-based out-of-bounds write in the BoltReadHandler function (src/bolt/bolt_api.c) in FalkorDB before 4.20.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code by sending a Bolt RESET message with an attacker-chosen chunk size to the Bolt port. The handler checks the size only with ASSERT(), which is compiled out in release builds, then computes a destination pointer from the wire-supplied 16-bit size and moves buffered data up to about 64 KiB backwards past the start of the read buffer. Only deployments that enable the Bolt endpoint (BOLT_PORT, disabled by default) are affected. |
| A flaw was found in the GStreamer multimedia framework's ASF muxer plugin (asfmux). When writing string metadata tags containing Unicode characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (such as emoji) to an ASF container, the plugin incorrectly calculates the buffer size needed for the UTF-16LE representation. The size calculation assumes each Unicode code point requires 2 bytes, but non-BMP characters require 4 bytes (surrogate pairs). This leads to a heap out-of-bounds write when the actual UTF-16LE conversion is written into the undersized buffer. An attacker could exploit this by providing media with crafted metadata tags to an application that transcodes or remuxes to ASF format while preserving metadata, potentially causing a denial of service or limited memory corruption. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Oracle Java SE 6u105, 7u91, and 8u66; Java SE Embedded 8u65; and JRockit R28.3.8 allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability via vectors related to AWT. NOTE: the previous information is from the January 2016 CPU. Oracle has not commented on third-party claims that this is a heap-based buffer overflow in the readImage function, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted image data. |
| A vulnerability was identified in Artifex Ghostscript up to 10.07.0. Affected is the function type1_callsubr of the file devices/vector/gdevpsfx.c of the component Pdfwrite. The manipulation leads to stack-based buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 10.08.0 is able to address this issue. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component. A solution was implemented: "I've chosen to fix this slightly differently by using the defined macro in the font parsing loop rather than in the callsubr function, because this better matches the pattern of 'normal' usage." |
| A flaw was found in the DPDK nfp vDPA driver. Stack and heap buffers sized for a single queue pair can be overflowed when more virtqueues are configured, leading to a host crash or memory corruption. |
