| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ima: Fix stack-out-of-bounds in is_bprm_creds_for_exec()
KASAN reported a stack-out-of-bounds access in ima_appraise_measurement
from is_bprm_creds_for_exec:
BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in ima_appraise_measurement+0x12dc/0x16a0
Read of size 1 at addr ffffc9000160f940 by task sudo/550
The buggy address belongs to stack of task sudo/550
and is located at offset 24 in frame:
ima_appraise_measurement+0x0/0x16a0
This frame has 2 objects:
[48, 56) 'file'
[80, 148) 'hash'
This is caused by using container_of on the *file pointer. This offset
calculation is what triggers the stack-out-of-bounds error.
In order to fix this, pass in a bprm_is_check boolean which can be set
depending on how process_measurement is called. If the caller has a
linux_binprm pointer and the function is BPRM_CHECK we can determine
is_check and set it then. Otherwise set it to false. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
apparmor: Fix & Optimize table creation from possibly unaligned memory
Source blob may come from userspace and might be unaligned.
Try to optize the copying process by avoiding unaligned memory accesses.
- Added Fixes tag
- Added "Fix &" to description as this doesn't just optimize but fixes
a potential unaligned memory access

| uuid is for the creation of RFC9562 (formerly RFC4122) UUIDs. Prior to 14.0.0, v3, v5, and v6 accept external output buffers but do not reject out-of-range writes (small buf or large offset). This allows silent partial writes into caller-provided buffers. This vulnerability is fixed in 14.0.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bnxt_en: set backing store type from query type
bnxt_hwrm_func_backing_store_qcaps_v2() stores resp->type from the
firmware response in ctxm->type and later uses that value to index
fixed backing-store metadata arrays such as ctx_arr[] and
bnxt_bstore_to_trace[].
ctxm->type is fixed by the current backing-store query type and matches
the array index of ctx->ctx_arr. Set ctxm->type from the current loop
variable instead of depending on resp->type.
Also update the loop to advance type from next_valid_type in the for
statement, which keeps the control flow simpler for non-valid and
unchanged entries. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
firmware: thead: Fix buffer overflow and use standard endian macros
Addresses two issues in the TH1520 AON firmware protocol driver:
1. Fix a potential buffer overflow where the code used unsafe pointer
arithmetic to access the 'mode' field through the 'resource' pointer
with an offset. This was flagged by Smatch static checker as:
"buffer overflow 'data' 2 <= 3"
2. Replace custom RPC_SET_BE* and RPC_GET_BE* macros with standard
kernel endianness conversion macros (cpu_to_be16, etc.) for better
portability and maintainability.
The functionality was re-tested with the GPU power-up sequence,
confirming the GPU powers up correctly and the driver probes
successfully.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
LoongArch: KVM: Handle the case that EIOINTC's coremap is empty
EIOINTC's coremap in eiointc_update_sw_coremap() can be empty, currently
we get a cpuid with -1 in this case, but we actually need 0 because it's
similar as the case that cpuid >= 4.
This fix an out-of-bounds access to kvm_arch::phyid_map::phys_map[]. |
| Invalid pointer in the JavaScript: WebAssembly component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150, Firefox ESR 140.10, Thunderbird 150, and Thunderbird 140.10. |
| A web page that contains unusual GPU shader code is loaded into the GPU compiler process and can trigger a write out-of-bounds write crash in the GPU shader compiler library. On certain platforms, when the compiler process has system privileges this could enable further exploits on the device.
An edge case using a very large value in switch statements in GPU shader code can cause a segmentation fault in the GPU shader compiler due to an out-of-bounds write access. |
| Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. Prior to 24.0.7, 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1, Wasmtime's implementation of transcoding strings into the Component Model's utf16 or latin1+utf16 encodings improperly verified the alignment of reallocated strings. This meant that unaligned pointers could be passed to the host for transcoding which would trigger a host panic. This panic is possible to trigger from malicious guests which transfer very specific strings across components with specific addresses. Host panics are considered a DoS vector in Wasmtime as the panic conditions are controlled by the guest in this situation. This vulnerability is fixed in 24.0.7, 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1. |
| iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Versions 2.3.1.1 and below have an Out-of-bounds Read, Use of Out-of-range Pointer Offset and have Improper Input Validation in its CIccProfile::LoadTag function. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.1.2. |
| VB-Audio Voicemeeter, Voicemeeter Banana, and Voicemeeter Potato (versions ending in 1.1.1.9, 2.1.1.9, and 3.1.1.9 and earlier, respectively), as well as VB-Audio Matrix and Matrix Coconut (versions ending in 1.0.2.2 and 2.0.2.2 and earlier, respectively), contain a vulnerability in their virtual audio drivers (vbvoicemeetervaio64*.sys, vbmatrixvaio64*.sys, vbaudio_vmauxvaio*.sys, vbaudio_vmvaio*.sys, and vbaudio_vmvaio3*.sys). The drivers allocate non-paged pool and map it into user space, where a length value associated with the allocation is exposed and can be modified by an unprivileged local attacker. On subsequent IOCTL handling, the corrupted length is used directly as the IoAllocateMdl length argument without adequate integrity checks before building and mapping the MDL, which can cause a kernel crash (BSoD), typically PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. This flaw allows a local user to trigger a denial-of-service on affected Windows systems. |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to subvert GPU HW to write to arbitrary physical memory pages.
Under certain circumstances this exploit could be used to corrupt data pages not allocated by the GPU driver but memory pages in use by the kernel and drivers running on the platform altering their behaviour. |
