CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix to avoid potential panic during recovery
During recovery, if FAULT_BLOCK is on, it is possible that
f2fs_reserve_new_block() will return -ENOSPC during recovery,
then it may trigger panic.
Also, if fault injection rate is 1 and only FAULT_BLOCK fault
type is on, it may encounter deadloop in loop of block reservation.
Let's change as below to fix these issues:
- remove bug_on() to avoid panic.
- limit the loop count of block reservation to avoid potential
deadloop. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sysv: don't call sb_bread() with pointers_lock held
syzbot is reporting sleep in atomic context in SysV filesystem [1], for
sb_bread() is called with rw_spinlock held.
A "write_lock(&pointers_lock) => read_lock(&pointers_lock) deadlock" bug
and a "sb_bread() with write_lock(&pointers_lock)" bug were introduced by
"Replace BKL for chain locking with sysvfs-private rwlock" in Linux 2.5.12.
Then, "[PATCH] err1-40: sysvfs locking fix" in Linux 2.6.8 fixed the
former bug by moving pointers_lock lock to the callers, but instead
introduced a "sb_bread() with read_lock(&pointers_lock)" bug (which made
this problem easier to hit).
Al Viro suggested that why not to do like get_branch()/get_block()/
find_shared() in Minix filesystem does. And doing like that is almost a
revert of "[PATCH] err1-40: sysvfs locking fix" except that get_branch()
from with find_shared() is called without write_lock(&pointers_lock). |
| Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. In @payloadcms/plugin-ecommerce versions before 3.90.0 and canary versions before 4.0.0-canary.34, use of the Stripe payment adapter can allow a Stripe order confirmation to be processed more than once under certain conditions. This issue is fixed in versions 3.90.0 and 4.0.0-canary.34. |
| A Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in netsctp.ko of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an unauthenticated network attacker to cause a denial of service via crafted SCTP network traffic. |
| Issue summary: Checking excessively long DH keys or parameters may be very slow.
Impact summary: Applications that use the functions DH_check(), DH_check_ex()
or EVP_PKEY_param_check() to check a DH key or DH parameters may experience long
delays. Where the key or parameters that are being checked have been obtained
from an untrusted source this may lead to a Denial of Service.
The function DH_check() performs various checks on DH parameters. After fixing
CVE-2023-3446 it was discovered that a large q parameter value can also trigger
an overly long computation during some of these checks. A correct q value,
if present, cannot be larger than the modulus p parameter, thus it is
unnecessary to perform these checks if q is larger than p.
An application that calls DH_check() and supplies a key or parameters obtained
from an untrusted source could be vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack.
The function DH_check() is itself called by a number of other OpenSSL functions.
An application calling any of those other functions may similarly be affected.
The other functions affected by this are DH_check_ex() and
EVP_PKEY_param_check().
Also vulnerable are the OpenSSL dhparam and pkeyparam command line applications
when using the "-check" option.
The OpenSSL SSL/TLS implementation is not affected by this issue.
The OpenSSL 3.0 and 3.1 FIPS providers are not affected by this issue. |
| Integer overflow in the message buffer growth logic (mbuf_make_room) in PgBouncer 1.21.0 through 1.26.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service when max_packet_size is configured above 2147483648. A packet header declaring a length above 2^31 makes the buffer size computation overflow, leaving the growth loop unable to terminate. Because PgBouncer serves all clients from a single process, this saturates a CPU core and stalls every pooled connection until the process is restarted. Since 1.23.0 the overflow is reachable before authentication with a five-byte packet header. |
| An infinite loop in PgBouncer 1.20.0 through 1.26.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service. A StartupMessage whose options parameter contains an empty parameter name, such as "-c=", makes the ignore_startup_parameters list lookup loop forever. Because PgBouncer serves all clients from a single process, this saturates a CPU core and makes PgBouncer unresponsive to all clients until the process is restarted. |
| Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.31, 21.2.23, and 22.1.6, the @angular/platform-server DOM emulation parser can enter an infinite synchronous loop when Angular server-side rendering processes attacker-controlled HTML containing an incomplete DOCTYPE that ends with whitespace at end of input. In Domino lib/HTMLParser.js, after_doctype_name_state emits doctype and EOF tokens without advancing nextchar or leaving the fixed-lookahead state, so the scanner repeatedly handles the same EOF marker. A remote unauthenticated attacker can use this condition through server-side HTML parsing paths such as innerHTML binding to consume a Node.js SSR worker at full CPU, starve the event loop, and stop concurrent and subsequent requests. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.31, 21.2.23, and 22.1.6. |
| A Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a remote network attacker to cause a denial of service via EVPN multihoming with preference-based designated-forwarder election. |
| In Perl 5.34.0, function S_find_uninit_var in sv.c has a stack-based crash that can lead to remote code execution or local privilege escalation. |
| systemd 250 and 251 allows local users to achieve a systemd-coredump deadlock by triggering a crash that has a long backtrace. This occurs in parse_elf_object in shared/elf-util.c. The exploitation methodology is to crash a binary calling the same function recursively, and put it in a deeply nested directory to make its backtrace large enough to cause the deadlock. This must be done 16 times when MaxConnections=16 is set for the systemd/units/systemd-coredump.socket file. |
| A list management bug in BSS handling in the mac80211 stack in the Linux kernel 5.1 through 5.19.x before 5.19.16 could be used by local attackers (able to inject WLAN frames) to corrupt a linked list and, in turn, potentially execute code. |
| Guests can trigger deadlock in Linux netback driver T[his CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] The patch for XSA-392 introduced another issue which might result in a deadlock when trying to free the SKB of a packet dropped due to the XSA-392 handling (CVE-2022-42328). Additionally when dropping packages for other reasons the same deadlock could occur in case of netpoll being active for the interface the xen-netback driver is connected to (CVE-2022-42329). |

| A flaw was identified in the RAR5 archive decompression logic of the libarchive library, specifically within the archive_read_data() processing path. When a specially crafted RAR5 archive is processed, the decompression routine may enter a state where internal logic prevents forward progress. This condition results in an infinite loop that continuously consumes CPU resources. Because the archive passes checksum validation and appears structurally valid, affected applications cannot detect the issue before processing. This can allow attackers to cause persistent denial-of-service conditions in services that automatically process archives. |
| L-SMASH through 2.14.5 contains an infinite loop vulnerability in vc1_importer_probe() in importer/vc1_imp.c that allows attackers to hang applications via crafted input files. Attackers can supply a file consisting only of zero bytes, which lsmash_read_file() probes automatically, causing indefinite CPU consumption and denial of service. |
| Deadlock in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Deadlock in ASP.NET Core allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| libcurl provides the `CURLOPT_CERTINFO` option to allow applications torequest details to be returned about a server's certificate chain.Due to an erroneous function, a malicious server could make libcurl built withNSS get stuck in a never-ending busy-loop when trying to retrieve thatinformation. |
| The curl URL parser wrongly accepts percent-encoded URL separators like '/'when decoding the host name part of a URL, making it a *different* URL usingthe wrong host name when it is later retrieved. For example, a URL like `http://example.com%2F127.0.0.1/`, would be allowed bythe parser and get transposed into `http://example.com/127.0.0.1/`. This flawcan be used to circumvent filters, checks and more. |
