CVE-2026-63879 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix amdgpu_hmm_range_get_pages The notifier sequence must only be read once or otherwise we could work with invalid pages. While at it also fix the coding style, e.g. drop the pre-initialized return value and use the common define for 2G range. (cherry picked from commit c08972f555945cda57b0adb72272a37910153390)
CVE-2026-63858 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: add hook transactions for device deletions Restore the flag that indicates that the hook is going away, ie. NFT_HOOK_REMOVE, but add a new transaction object to track deletion of hooks without altering the basechain/flowtable hook_list during the preparation phase. The existing approach that moves the hook from the basechain/flowtable hook_list to transaction hook_list breaks netlink dump path readers of this RCU-protected list. It should be possible use an array for nft_trans_hook to store the deleted hooks to compact the representation but I am not expecting many hook object, specially now that wildcard support for devices is in place. Note that the nft_trans_chain_hooks() list contains a list of struct nft_trans_hook objects for DELCHAIN and DELFLOWTABLE commands, while this list stores struct nft_hook objects for NEWCHAIN and NEWFLOWTABLE. Note that new commands can be updated to use nft_trans_hook for consistency. This patch also adapts the event notification path to deal with the list of hook transactions.
CVE-2026-53401 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: omap2: fix use-after-free in omapfb_mmap omapfb_mmap() has a race condition with OMAPFB_SETUP_PLANE ioctl that can lead to use-after-free: The fb_mmap() entry point holds mm_lock but not lock (fb_info->lock), while ioctl handlers like OMAPFB_SETUP_PLANE hold lock but not mm_lock. This allows concurrent execution. In omapfb_mmap(): 1. rg = omapfb_get_mem_region(ofbi->region); // Get old region ref 2. start = omapfb_get_region_paddr(ofbi); // Read from NEW region 3. len = fix->smem_len; // Read from NEW region 4. vm_iomap_memory(vma, start, len); // Map NEW region memory 5. atomic_inc(&rg->map_count); // Increment OLD region! Concurrently, OMAPFB_SETUP_PLANE can: - Reassign ofbi->region = new_rg - Update fix->smem_len - OMAPFB_SETUP_MEM then checks NEW region's map_count (0!) and frees it This leaves userspace with a mapping to freed physical memory. The fix is to read all required values (start, len) from the same region reference (rg) that will have its map_count incremented, preventing the region from being freed while still mapped.
CVE-2026-53124 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ublk: reset per-IO canceled flag on each fetch If a ublk server starts recovering devices but dies before issuing fetch commands for all IOs, cancellation of the fetch commands that were successfully issued may never complete. This is because the per-IO canceled flag can remain set even after the fetch for that IO has been submitted - the per-IO canceled flags for all IOs in a queue are reset together only once all IOs for that queue have been fetched. So if a nonempty proper subset of the IOs for a queue are fetched when the ublk server dies, the IOs in that subset will never successfully be canceled, as their canceled flags remain set, and this prevents ublk_cancel_cmd from actually calling io_uring_cmd_done on the commands, despite the fact that they are outstanding. Fix this by resetting the per-IO cancel flags immediately when each IO is fetched instead of waiting for all IOs for the queue (which may never happen).
CVE-2026-53025 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: greybus: raw: fix use-after-free on cdev close This addresses a use-after-free bug when a raw bundle is disconnected but its chardev is still opened by an application. When the application releases the cdev, it causes the following panic when init on free is enabled (CONFIG_INIT_ON_FREE_DEFAULT_ON=y): refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 139 at lib/refcount.c:28 refcount_warn_saturate+0xd0/0x130 ... Call Trace: <TASK> cdev_put+0x18/0x30 __fput+0x255/0x2a0 __x64_sys_close+0x3d/0x80 do_syscall_64+0xa4/0x290 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f The cdev is contained in the "gb_raw" structure, which is freed in the disconnect operation. When the cdev is released at a later time, cdev_put gets an address that points to freed memory. To fix this use-after-free, convert the struct device from a pointer to being embedded, that makes the lifetime of the cdev and of this device the same. Then, use cdev_device_add, which guarantees that the device won't be released until all references to the cdev have been released. Finally, delegate the freeing of the structure to the device release function, instead of freeing immediately in the disconnect callback.
CVE-2026-46311 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/userq: fix access to stale wptr mapping Use drm_exec to take both locks i.e vm root bo and wptr_obj bo to access the mapping data properly. This fixes the security issue of unmap the wptr_obj while a queue creation is in progress and passing other bo at same address. (cherry picked from commit 1fc6c8ab45dbee096469c08c13f6099d57a52d6c)
CVE-2026-46210 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: iris: fix use-after-free of fmt_src during MBPF check During concurrency testing, multiple instances can run in parallel, and each instance uses its own inst->lock while the core->lock protects the list of active instances. The race happens because these locks cover different scopes, inst->lock protects only the internals of a single instance, while the Macro Blocks Per Frame (MBPF) checker walks the core list under core->lock and reads fields like fmt_src->width and fmt_src->height. At the same time, iris_close() may free fmt_src and fmt_dst under inst->lock while the instance is still present in the core list. This allows a situation where the MBPF checker, still iterating through the core list, reaches an instance whose fmt_src was already freed by another thread and ends up dereferencing a dangling pointer, resulting in a use-after-free. This happens because the MBPF checker assumes that any instance in the core list is fully valid, but the freeing of fmt_src and fmt_dst without removing the instance from the core list is not correct. The correct ordering is to defer freeing fmt_src and fmt_dst until after the instance has been removed from the core list and all teardown under the core lock has completed, ensuring that no dangling pointers are ever exposed during MBPF checks.
CVE-2026-43311 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc/tegra: pmc: Fix unsafe generic_handle_irq() call Currently, when resuming from system suspend on Tegra platforms, the following warning is observed: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 14459 at kernel/irq/irqdesc.c:666 Call trace: handle_irq_desc+0x20/0x58 (P) tegra186_pmc_wake_syscore_resume+0xe4/0x15c syscore_resume+0x3c/0xb8 suspend_devices_and_enter+0x510/0x540 pm_suspend+0x16c/0x1d8 The warning occurs because generic_handle_irq() is being called from a non-interrupt context which is considered as unsafe. Fix this warning by deferring generic_handle_irq() call to an IRQ work which gets executed in hard IRQ context where generic_handle_irq() can be called safely. When PREEMPT_RT kernels are used, regular IRQ work (initialized with init_irq_work) is deferred to run in per-CPU kthreads in preemptible context rather than hard IRQ context. Hence, use the IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD variant so that with PREEMPT_RT kernels, the IRQ work is processed in hardirq context instead of being deferred to a thread which is required for calling generic_handle_irq(). On non-PREEMPT_RT kernels, both init_irq_work() and IRQ_WORK_INIT_HARD() execute in IRQ context, so this change has no functional impact for standard kernel configurations. [treding@nvidia.com: miscellaneous cleanups]
CVE-2026-43191 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Adjust PHY FSM transition to TX_EN-to-PLL_ON for TMDS on DCN35 [Why] A backport of the change made for DCN401 that addresses an issue where we turn off the PHY PLL when disabling TMDS output, which causes the OTG to remain stuck. The OTG being stuck can lead to a hang in the DCHVM's ability to ACK invalidations when it thinks the HUBP is still on but it's not receiving global sync. The transition to PLL_ON needs to be atomic as there's no guarantee that the thread isn't pre-empted or is able to complete before the IOMMU watchdog times out. [How] Backport the implementation from dcn401 back to dcn35. There's a functional difference in when the eDP output is disabled in dcn401 code so we don't want to utilize it directly.
CVE-2026-31573 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: verisilicon: Fix kernel panic due to __initconst misuse Fix a kernel panic when probing the driver as a module: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffffd9c18eb05000 of_find_matching_node_and_match+0x5c/0x1a0 hantro_probe+0x2f4/0x7d0 [hantro_vpu] The imx8mq_vpu_shared_resources array is referenced by variant structures through their shared_devices field. When built as a module, __initconst causes this data to be freed after module init, but it's later accessed during probe, causing a page fault. The imx8mq_vpu_shared_resources is referenced from non-init code, so keeping __initconst or __initconst_or_module here is wrong. Drop the __initconst annotation and let it live in the normal .rodata section. A bug of __initconst called from regular non-init probe code leading to bugs during probe deferrals or during unbind-bind cycles.
CVE-2026-31501 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ti: icssg-prueth: fix use-after-free of CPPI descriptor in RX path cppi5_hdesc_get_psdata() returns a pointer into the CPPI descriptor. In both emac_rx_packet() and emac_rx_packet_zc(), the descriptor is freed via k3_cppi_desc_pool_free() before the psdata pointer is used by emac_rx_timestamp(), which dereferences psdata[0] and psdata[1]. This constitutes a use-after-free on every received packet that goes through the timestamp path. Defer the descriptor free until after all accesses through the psdata pointer are complete. For emac_rx_packet(), move the free into the requeue label so both early-exit and success paths free the descriptor after all accesses are done. For emac_rx_packet_zc(), move the free to the end of the loop body after emac_dispatch_skb_zc() (which calls emac_rx_timestamp()) has returned.
CVE-2026-23374 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blktrace: fix __this_cpu_read/write in preemptible context tracing_record_cmdline() internally uses __this_cpu_read() and __this_cpu_write() on the per-CPU variable trace_cmdline_save, and trace_save_cmdline() explicitly asserts preemption is disabled via lockdep_assert_preemption_disabled(). These operations are only safe when preemption is off, as they were designed to be called from the scheduler context (probe_wakeup_sched_switch() / probe_wakeup()). __blk_add_trace() was calling tracing_record_cmdline(current) early in the blk_tracer path, before ring buffer reservation, from process context where preemption is fully enabled. CVE-2026-110602 1 Libmspack Project 1 Libmspack 2026-10-15 6.3 Medium
libmspack through 0.11alpha contains an uninitialized pointer free vulnerability in kwajd_open() in mspack/kwajd.c that frees unzeroed filename and extra pointers on header read errors. Attackers can supply a truncated, empty, or wrong-signature KWAJ file to crash the process or obtain an arbitrary-free memory corruption primitive.

CVE-2026-64413 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: zero chainstack array sashiko reports: looking at ebtables table translation, could a sparse cpu_possible_mask lead to an uninitialized pointer free? If cpu_possible_mask is sparse (for example, CPU 0 and CPU 2 are possible, but CPU 1 is not), the allocation loop skips CPU 1. If vmalloc_node() fails at CPU 2, the cleanup loop will blindly decrement and call vfree() on newinfo->chainstack[1]. Not a real-world bug, such allocation isn't expected to fail in the first place.
CVE-2026-53400 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: core: fix adapter registration race Adapters can be looked up based on their id using i2c_get_adapter() which takes a reference to the embedded struct device. Make sure that the adapter (including its struct device) has been initialised before adding it to the IDR to avoid accessing uninitialised data which could, for example, lead to NULL-pointer dereferences or use-after-free. Note that the i2c-dev chardev, which is registered from a bus notifier, currently uses i2c_get_adapter() so the adapter needs to be added to the IDR before registration.

CVE-2026-53349 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack: destroy stale expectfn expectations on unregister NAT helpers such as nf_nat_h323 store a raw pointer to module text in exp->expectfn (e.g. ip_nat_q931_expect). nf_ct_helper_expectfn_unregister() only unlinks the callback descriptor and never walks the expectation table, so an expectation pending at module removal survives with a dangling exp->expectfn into freed module text. When the expected connection arrives, init_conntrack() invokes exp->expectfn(), now a stale pointer into the unloaded module. Reproduced on a KASAN build by loading the H.323 helpers, creating a Q.931 expectation, unloading nf_nat_h323, then connecting to the expected port: Oops: int3: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI RIP: 0010:0xffffffffa06102d1 init_conntrack.isra.0 (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_core.c:1862) nf_conntrack_in (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_core.c:2049) ipv4_conntrack_local (net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_proto.c:223) nf_hook_slow (net/netfilter/core.c:619) __ip_local_out (net/ipv4/ip_output.c:120) __tcp_transmit_skb (net/ipv4/tcp_output.c:1715) tcp_connect (net/ipv4/tcp_output.c:4374) tcp_v4_connect (net/ipv4/tcp_ipv4.c:345) __sys_connect (net/socket.c:2167) Modules linked in: nf_conntrack_h323 [last unloaded: nf_nat_h323] Reaching the dangling state requires CAP_SYS_MODULE in the initial user namespace to remove a NAT helper that still has live expectations, so this is a robustness fix; leaving an expectation pointing at freed text is wrong regardless. Add nf_ct_helper_expectfn_destroy(), which walks the expectation table and drops every expectation whose ->expectfn matches the descriptor being torn down. Call it from each NAT helper's exit path after the existing RCU grace period, so no expectation outlives the code it points at and no extra synchronize_rcu() is introduced. With the fix, the same reproducer runs to completion without the Oops.
CVE-2026-53275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: Fix use-after-free when processing MLD queries When processing an MLD query, a pointer to the multicast group address is retrieved when initially parsing the packet. This pointer is later dereferenced without being reloaded despite the fact that the skb header might have been reallocated following the pskb_may_pull() calls, leading to a use-after-free [1]. Fix by copying the multicast group address when the packet is initially parsed.
