CVSS v3.1 |
Improper Authentication in the social account linking path of the Prowler API in Prowler from 5.4.0 before 5.35.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to obtain persistent access to the account of a user who has not yet registered, because ProwlerSocialAccountAdapter.pre_social_login() in api/src/backend/api/adapters.py links a Google or GitHub login to any existing local account that has the same email address as the one returned by the provider, without requiring that the address has been verified by the provider or on the existing account, and without any other check that both accounts belong to the same person. Self registration is open and the new account is usable at once, because UserViewSet.get_permissions() in api/src/backend/api/v1/views.py grants AllowAny to the create action, ACCOUNT_EMAIL_VERIFICATION is set to none in api/src/backend/config/settings/social_login.py, and the Django ModelBackend checks only the password and is_active, not the django-allauth EmailAddress record. An attacker who registers an email address before its owner keeps the password set at registration after the link is made, because sociallogin.connect() does not reset the password and does not disable the existing account, and the owner who later signs in with Google or GitHub is logged into the attacker's account. django-allauth makes the same email based link on its own, because SOCIALACCOUNT_EMAIL_AUTHENTICATION and SOCIALACCOUNT_EMAIL_AUTHENTICATION_AUTO_CONNECT are both set to True in the same settings module. This gives the attacker the cloud provider credentials, scan findings and tenant memberships held in the account.
The Asaas Gateway for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 2.7.8 does not properly authenticate its payment webhook, accepting an empty access token in its default configuration and not verifying that the confirmed payment corresponds to the order it marks paid, allowing unauthenticated attackers to mark arbitrary orders as paid.
Dm-verity is used for extending root-of-trust to root filesystems. LoadPin builds on this property to restrict module/firmware loads to just the trusted root filesystem. Device-mapper table reloads currently allow users with root privileges to switch out the target with an equivalent dm-linear target and bypass verification till reboot. This allows root to bypass LoadPin and can be used to load untrusted and unverified kernel modules and firmware, which implies arbitrary kernel execution and persistence for peripherals that do not verify firmware updates. We recommend upgrading past commit 4caae58406f8ceb741603eee460d79bacca9b1b5
Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. Prior to 2.4.1, GetCasdoorUri uses the configured Casdoor application name as a constant OAuth state value and CasdoorCallback does not compare the submitted state with a value bound to the initiating browser session. An unauthenticated attacker can cause a victim's browser to complete an attacker-controlled Casdoor authorization flow, and the callback can mint a Nginx UI session for the identity returned by that authorization code. This issue is fixed in version 2.4.1.
| The Appointment Booking Plugin – LatePoint | Calendar & Scheduling for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions up to, and including, 5.7.2 via the OsCustomerHelper::create_wp_user_for_customer() helper reached from the public process_step_customer() booking step. When the 'Use WordPress users as customers' option is enabled, the helper falls back from email_exists() to username_exists( $customer->email ), which matches any WordPress user whose user_login equals the victim customer's email even when that user's user_email is completely different, and links that WordPress user's ID into the victim's LatePoint customer row (only privileged roles are excluded; Subscriber is allowed). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to take over another customer's LatePoint account — accessing their bookings, service, agent, and calendar data, and having the victim customer's email overwritten with the attacker's on next login — by holding a Subscriber account whose user_login equals the victim's email and submitting an unauthenticated public booking step registration request. |
AstronRPA through 1.1.6 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the OpenResty gateway's auth_handler.lua that accepts any Bearer token without validation. Unauthenticated attackers can send arbitrary Bearer values to reach /api/resource/ and /api/rpa-ai-service/ routes and spoof X-User-Id or user_id headers to act as any user.
A vulnerability was found in Studio-Saelix Sencho up to 0.94.1. This affects an unknown part of the file /api/auth/login of the component Login Endpoint. Performing a manipulation of the argument X-Forwarded-For results in improper authentication. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named 79b86ddcd4aefdd6941f098e35990ab397b13c72. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. The vendor confirms: "The login limiter relied on client-supplied X-Forwarded-For data without an explicit trusted-proxy boundary, allowing an attacker to rotate the apparent client address. The remediation now ignores forwarding headers by default, accepts them only from explicitly configured proxy CIDRs, and adds a separate failed-attempt limit keyed by normalized account identity."
PHPNuxBill through 2025.3.20 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in RADIUS CHAP verification because Password::chap_verify() returns true when the supplied response does not match. Attackers who know a valid customer or PPPoE username can log in through MikroTik hotspot or PPPoE CHAP with any incorrect password to obtain network access and consume that customer's plan.
Vikunja is an open-source self-hosted task management platform. In versions 1.0.0 through 2.3.0, when an administrator enables the per-provider `emailfallback` option on an OpenID Connect provider, Vikunja links an SSO login to a pre-existing local (username+password) account using only the `email` claim from the IdP. The fallback never checks an `email_verified` (or Microsoft `xms_edov`) signal and never requires the matched account's password. An attacker who can obtain a token from the configured issuer carrying a victim's email logs in as that victim with a full session, with no consent or interaction from the victim. Version 2.4.0 fixes the issue.
When password or public key authentication is used with the Windows port of wolfSSHd, the Windows logon token acquired for one authenticated connection is not released before a token is acquired for a subsequent connection, resulting in user login poisoning between connections. A less privileged user with a valid account on the server can exploit this to force a login as a more privileged user. The vulnerability was introduced with the initial Windows port of wolfSSHd in wolfSSH version 1.4.15 and affects all versions through 1.5.0. Non-Windows builds of wolfSSHd are not affected.
ZITADEL 4.x before 4.19.2 and 3.x through 3.4.15 contains an authentication bypass in the SAML identity-provider intent callback, which verifies the assertion signature using the provider named in the request URL but resolves the user from the login intent without checking they match. Attackers with organization-administrator permission can register a SAML provider with their own signing key to obtain authenticated sessions as any user linked to another SAML provider on the instance, including in other organizations.
A vulnerability was determined in Netcore NR268 1.7.121109. Affected is the function user_ok of the component CGI Execution. This manipulation causes improper authentication. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Gitea's OAuth2 and OpenID Connect sign-in paths do not require a WebAuthn challenge when WebAuthn is the account's only configured second factor. A party able to authenticate through the affected external identity flow can obtain a full session without the passkey verification enforced during password login. One affected path can also persist an external identity link, extending the compromise beyond the initial session; accounts with TOTP configured are outside the reported WebAuthn-only scenario.
Gitea accepted pushed Git trees containing two entries with the same name, which Git's own consistency checks reject. Gitea's web views resolved such a path to the first entry, while `git checkout`, Gitea Actions, and release archives use the last. A contributor could open a pull request whose diff and file views show benign content while CI and checkouts at the same commit use different, attacker-controlled content. Incoming objects are now checked for consistency; objects already stored in existing repositories are not rescanned.
Grav Login plugin 2.7.0 before 3.9.9 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows attackers with a valid password to skip two-factor authentication through remember-me cookie restoration. Attackers can obtain a persistent remember-me cookie after the password step and restore it as a fully authorized session without completing the second factor.
A vulnerability was detected in KusalkaSilva Learning-Management-System up to ffeb873f8803f1e9664384ff75000c7da45466d2. This impacts the function mysql_query of the file remove_announcements.php of the component State-Changing Endpoints. Performing a manipulation of the argument ID results in missing authentication. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. This product uses a rolling release model to deliver continuous updates. As a result, specific version information for affected or updated releases is not available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
When Gitea's web installer is reachable against a database that already contains users, such as after `INSTALL_LOCK` has been reset to `false`, submitting the install form with an administrator username matching an existing account issued an authenticated session for that account without verifying its password. If the account is an administrator, the session grants full administrative access, including changing the account's password. Databases with a single user also did not require the reinstall confirmation.
IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5, and 9.0 could allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication by exploiting a flaw in the CSIv2 inbound propagation handler.
Gitea's OAuth2 token endpoint verified the signature and grant of a token submitted with the `refresh_token` grant type, but not that the token was a refresh token. An unexpired access token for the same OAuth2 application and grant could be exchanged for a new access token and refresh token. Whoever holds such an access token could keep access beyond the token's original lifetime.
MCP Context Forge is an MCP gateway and administrative platform. Prior to 1.0.2, mcpgateway/config.py and .env.example ship a known JWT_SECRET_KEY, while verify_jwt_token() accepts HS256 tokens signed with that key and get_current_user() creates a platform administrator when the token subject matches PLATFORM_ADMIN_EMAIL and REQUIRE_USER_IN_DB is false. A remote unauthenticated attacker can therefore mint accepted administrator tokens without a database account. While the vulnerable signing key remains configured and the platform-admin bootstrap remains enabled, forged access survives password rotation, account deletion, and session revocation, allowing administrative disclosure, modification, and service disruption. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.2.
