CVSS v3.1 |
| OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains a quadratic memory allocation vulnerability in MethodWriter.computeMaxStackAndLocal() and computeAllFrames() when using COMPUTE_MAXS or COMPUTE_FRAMES. Attackers can supply a crafted class file with thousands of overlapping exception handlers, causing excessive Edge allocations and an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the JVM. |
| PhysicsFS through 3.2.0 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in __PHYSFS_utf8codepoint() that allows attackers to read past name buffers via an off-by-one cursor advance on six-octet UTF-8 sequences. Attackers can supply a crafted archive with entry names ending in six-octet sequences, causing PHYSFS_utf8stricmp() and hashing to over-read and crash the application. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req().
syzbot reported a weird reqsk->rsk_refcnt underflow in
__inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop().
The captured reqsk_put() in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop()
is called only when it successfully removes reqsk from ehash.
Moreover, reqsk_timer_handler() calls another reqsk_put()
after that.
This indicates that the reqsk was missing both refcnts for
ehash and the timer itself.
Since all the syzbot reports had PREEMPT_RT enabled, the only
possible scenario is that reqsk_queue_hash_req() is preempted
after mod_timer() and before refcount_set(), and then the timer
triggered after 1s aborts the reqsk due to its listener's close().
Let's wrap mod_timer() and refcount_set() with
preempt_disable_nested() and preempt_enable_nested().
Note that inet_ehash_insert() holds the normal spin_lock()
(mutex in PREEMPT_RT), so it must be called outside of
preempt_disable_nested(), but this is fine.
The lookup path just ignores 0 sk_refcnt entries in ehash
and tries to create another reqsk, but this will fail at
inet_ehash_insert().

| Incorrect boundary conditions in the SVG component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| Spoofing issue in the DOM: Web Serial component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158, Firefox ESR 153.5, Thunderbird 158, and Thunderbird 153.5. |
| Requesting `/{username}/-/repositories` for an individual user instead of an organization made the organization home handler dereference a nil organization and panic. The request needs no authentication and no special configuration. The server answered with an HTTP 500 error and logged a panic for each request; the fix returns 404 for individual users. |
| The Booking Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 11.4.3 via the wpbc_is_show_popover_in_flex_timeline() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data including names, email addresses, and phone numbers of customers who have made bookings. |
| The Appointment Booking Plugin – LatePoint | Calendar & Scheduling for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 5.7.3. This is due to the `OsSettingsController::update()` handler iterating over attacker-supplied `settings` parameters without an allowlist of permitted setting names or values, and `OsSettingsHelper::prepare_value()` performing no role allowlist validation before persisting the `default_wp_role_for_customer` setting — a restriction that exists only in the UI dropdown and is never enforced server-side. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers holding a LatePoint role with the `settings__edit` capability (such as an agent or custom role) to overwrite the default WordPress role for new customers with `administrator`, causing any subsequently self-registered LatePoint customer account to be created with full WordPress administrator privileges. Exploitation requires that a WordPress administrator has granted the `settings__edit` capability to a LatePoint agent or custom role, and that a new customer account is registered through LatePoint after the malicious setting change is persisted. |
| Summary
Before version 0.9.0, the HTTP/1 upstream path in pingora-proxy passed the downstream request through upstream_request_filter and wrote it to the upstream without removing the client's Connection header, other hop-by-hop headers, or the headers Connection nominated, although RFC 9110 Section 7.6.1 requires intermediaries to remove them. The HTTP/2 upstream path already removed Connection and related HTTP/1-specific headers. A client could therefore nominate a header that the application adds in upstream_request_filter (for example, Connection: keep-alive, X-Forwarded-For). A downstream HTTP/1 intermediary that honors Connection would then strip the Pingora-added header before it reached the origin.
Impact
Specifically affects chained deployments where an HTTP/1 intermediary between Pingora and the origin processes Connection nominations (for example, Go's net/http/httputil.ReverseProxy) and the origin trusts headers added by that intermediary (for example, X-Forwarded-For for IP-based authorization). A remote, unauthenticated attacker can have those headers removed, potentially bypassing authorization. The reporter demonstrated access to an IP-restricted endpoint using X-Forwarded-For for IP validation on the origin. This is the same class of issue as CVE-2022-31813 in Apache HTTP Server.
Note that Cloudflare CDN customers were unaffected, as no such chained deployment as described above exists with internal Pingora services, and Connection headers are sanitized before arriving at Pingora gateways.
Mitigation:
*
Upgrade to pingora 0.9.0 or later. By default, Pingora now removes hop-by-hop and Connection-nominated headers from upstream requests, and rejects requests whose Connection header nominates Host, X-Forwarded-For, X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Proto, or a pseudo-header. This is controlled by PeerOptions::http_upstream_request_policy (HttpUpstreamRequestPolicy). Fix commits: https://github.com/cloudflare/pingora/commit/28c18e6b6b04dd0bd937234e5950049e6d74cded , https://github.com/cloudflare/pingora/commit/ca23f1668eca8e78be7ba62ef0edbd458b40eeee
*
Do not use HttpUpstreamRequestPolicy::preserve() if the origin relies on headers added by Pingora; it restores the old passthrough behavior.
*
If you cannot upgrade: in upstream_request_filter, remove the Connection header and every header it nominates before adding trusted headers. |

| Letta through 0.16.8 contains an information disclosure vulnerability that allows users running tools to read server secrets because LocalSandbox subprocesses inherit the full server environment. Attackers can run code via POST /v1/tools/run or custom tools to read LETTA_PG_URI, POSTGRES_PASSWORD, and provider API keys, then access cross-tenant database data. |
| Letta through 0.16.8 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows API callers to impersonate other users by supplying a self-asserted user_id HTTP header. Attackers can set user_id to another tenant's ID, even with LETTA_SERVER_SECURE enabled, to read and modify that user's agents, memory and configuration. |
