IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0 through 10.5.0.22, 10.6.1 through 10.6.6, 10.6.0.0 through 10.6.0.10, and 11.0.0.0 through 11.0.0.2 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking. A local user could overflow the buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.

An Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent attacker which sends a specific set of BGP communities to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS) as rpd crashes when graceful-shutdown sender community is added when attempting to advertise.
MOOS core-moos through 10.4.0 contains a pre-authentication heap overflow vulnerability in MOOSCommPkt packet handling that allows remote attackers to write arbitrary data by declaring a negative packet length. Attackers can exploit the signed integer check in InflateTo() and negative size conversion in recv() to overflow a four-byte heap buffer during the HandShake phase before authentication.
MOOS-IvP through 24.8.1 contains multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities in IvP function string decoders that trust attacker-controlled length fields without validation. Attackers can craft malicious encoded strings with mismatched declared and actual field lengths to overflow heap and stack buffers, potentially achieving remote code execution through MOOS variables or alog files.
qfq_change_class in net/sched/sch_qfq.c in the Linux kernel before 6.2.13 allows an out-of-bounds write because lmax can exceed QFQ_MIN_LMAX.
ncurses before 6.4 20230408, when used by a setuid application, allows local users to trigger security-relevant memory corruption via malformed data in a terminfo database file that is found in $HOME/.terminfo or reached via the TERMINFO or TERM environment variable.
sprintf in the GNU C Library (glibc) 2.37 has a buffer overflow (out-of-bounds write) in some situations with a correct buffer size. This is unrelated to CWE-676. It may write beyond the bounds of the destination buffer when attempting to write a padded, thousands-separated string representation of a number, if the buffer is allocated the exact size required to represent that number as a string. For example, 1,234,567 (with padding to 13) overflows by two bytes.
| A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Linux Kernel Performance Events (perf) component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation.
If perf_read_group() is called while an event's sibling_list is smaller than its child's sibling_list, it can increment or write to memory locations outside of the allocated buffer.
We recommend upgrading past commit 32671e3799ca2e4590773fd0e63aaa4229e50c06. |
A flaw was found in the exFAT driver of the Linux kernel. The vulnerability exists in the implementation of the file name reconstruction function, which is responsible for reading file name entries from a directory index and merging file name parts belonging to one file into a single long file name. Since the file name characters are copied into a stack variable, a local privileged attacker could use this flaw to overflow the kernel stack.
Under some circumstances, this weakness allows a user who has access to run the “ps” utility on a machine, the ability to write almost unlimited amounts of unfiltered data into the process heap.
