CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu: Return right value in iommu_sva_bind_device()
iommu_sva_bind_device() should return either a sva bond handle or an
ERR_PTR value in error cases. Existing drivers (idxd and uacce) only
check the return value with IS_ERR(). This could potentially lead to
a kernel NULL pointer dereference issue if the function returns NULL
instead of an error pointer.
In reality, this doesn't cause any problems because iommu_sva_bind_device()
only returns NULL when the kernel is not configured with CONFIG_IOMMU_SVA.
In this case, iommu_dev_enable_feature(dev, IOMMU_DEV_FEAT_SVA) will
return an error, and the device drivers won't call iommu_sva_bind_device()
at all. |
| nghttp2 is an implementation of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol version 2 in C. The nghttp2 library prior to version 1.61.0 keeps reading the unbounded number of HTTP/2 CONTINUATION frames even after a stream is reset to keep HPACK context in sync. This causes excessive CPU usage to decode HPACK stream. nghttp2 v1.61.0 mitigates this vulnerability by limiting the number of CONTINUATION frames it accepts per stream. There is no workaround for this vulnerability. |
| An issue was discovered in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c in the Linux kernel before 5.19.6. A denial of service can occur upon binding to an already bound chain. |
| Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.44, 7.x before 7.0.55, and 8.x before 8.0.9 does not properly handle cases where an HTTP response occurs before finishing the reading of an entire request body, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (thread consumption) via a series of aborted upload attempts. |
| selectExpander in select.c in SQLite 3.30.1 proceeds with WITH stack unwinding even after a parsing error. |
| SQLite 3.30.1 mishandles certain parser-tree rewriting, related to expr.c, vdbeaux.c, and window.c. This is caused by incorrect sqlite3WindowRewrite() error handling. |
| In the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) through 2.29, the memcmp function for the x32 architecture can incorrectly return zero (indicating that the inputs are equal) because the RDX most significant bit is mishandled. |
| For XSA-308 logic was introduced, as VMX VMEntry checks do not like the
exact combination of state which occurs when #DB in intercepted, Single
Stepping is active, and blocked by STI/MovSS is active, despite this being
a legitimate state to be in. The resulting VMEntry failure is fatal to
the guest.
Sadly there is another special sub-case of the above, with branch tracing
enabled. In that case the prior adjustment would still cause a VMentry
failure, as before fatal to the guest. |
| Legacy Update is a tool for activating and installing updates on legacy Windows PCs. Legacy Update 1.12.0 through 1.13.1 contains an origin validation error in the IsPermitted method of its ActiveX control. After successfully reading the hosting document's hostname, a hostname that is not on the permitted list falls through without setting E_ACCESSDENIED, causing IsPermitted to return S_OK. An attacker who induces a user to visit a malicious webpage in Internet Explorer can invoke the control to enumerate update and system information, install updates without consent, display dialogs, or restart the computer when a reboot is pending. This issue was fixed in Legacy Update 1.13.2. |
| When processing issue and comment bodies, Gitea scanned the entire preceding text for action keywords such as "closes" or "fixes" once per Markdown link, giving processing time quadratic in the input size. An authenticated user able to submit issue or comment content could send a crafted body of about 1 MB that keeps a CPU core busy for several minutes while holding a database transaction open. |
| Crux Agent from 1.9.0 before 2.0.3 uses the full SKA bilocation key as the WireGuard preshared key. When a peering session negotiates use of SHA-512, the key produced is 64 bytes instead of the 32 bytes WireGuard requires. The agent does not validate this size; instead it attempts to use the `wg set` command to update the live tunnel, and write the invalid key to the WireGuard configuration file. The update fails, so the live tunnel keeps using its previous preshared key until the tunnel is shut down. The tunnel will fail to start when restarted.
For a peer which has never successfully negotiated a 32-byte bilocation key in a Crux C2 organization which has the "Enforce SKA Use" setting turned off, no preshared key will be set for the tunnel. Therefore, an attacker who is able to intercept and store the peer's traffic, and has access (or will have access) to a cryptographically relevant quantum computer, will be able to decrypt the tunnel. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: abort transaction on failure to update inode for hole punching and reflinking
If we fail to update the inode we error out without aborting the
transaction, which can result in a persistent inconsistency if after
the failure the transaction is committed, as we have dropped file
extent items from a range and either punched a hole or insert a new file
extent item for that range (for reflinks).
So add the missing transaction abort. |
| org/apache/tomcat/util/net/NioEndpoint.java in Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.36 and 7.x before 7.0.28, when the NIO connector is used in conjunction with sendfile and HTTPS, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) by terminating the connection during the reading of a response. |
| A fail-open error handling issue within the data masking utility of Powertools for AWS Lambda (Python) might allow actors to read sensitive field values that the application intended to mask.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 3.35.0. |
| @fastify/jwt is a JSON Web Token plugin for the Fastify web framework. In versions before 10.2.3, a time span passed to expiresIn, notBefore, or maxAge that the plugin's parser cannot read, such as a compound span, a month unit, an ISO 8601 duration, a decimal comma, or a value with surrounding whitespace, is silently dropped instead of refused. On the signing path this produces a token with no expiration claim that never expires, and on the verification path a configured maxAge stops being enforced, so a token that should be rejected for age is accepted. The issue is fixed in @fastify/jwt 10.2.3, and users should upgrade to 10.2.3 or later. As a workaround, pass these options as a number of seconds, or verify that any time-span string parses to a finite value before relying on it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: do not mark the volume clean in sync_fs when errors were recorded
ntfs_put_super() and the remount-read-only path both clear the dirty bit
only when NVolErrors(vol) is false. ntfs_sync_fs() clears it
unconditionally, so any sync() on a volume that recorded an error marks
that volume clean. A volume without this set is then seen as not needing
recovery and it does not run one, so whatever went wrong is never repaired.
This change skips resetting the dirty bit when there are volume errors.
Reproduced on a volume whose $MFTMirr does not match $MFT, which sets the
error flag while leaving the mount read-write: after a write and a sync,
the on-disk volume flags read 0x0000 with this driver and 0x0001 with the
guard in place. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mmc: sdhci-of-aspeed: Remove children before releasing SDC resources
Probe failure and removal leave SDHCI child devices registered after the
parent clock and managed resources are released.
Unregister the OF children in reverse order before disabling the parent
clock on both paths. Use of_platform_device_destroy() because manual
child creation does not set the flag required by of_platform_depopulate().
This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research
while reviewing kernel code. |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. When configured to evaluate password expiration warnings before restrictive access rules in LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) environments, an expired-password warning terminates rule evaluation early and treats the access request as successful. A remote authenticated user with an expired password using an alternative authentication method, such as SSH public key authentication, can exploit this flaw to bypass access control restrictions and gain unauthorized access to protected systems. |
| Use of uninitialized resource, Return of wrong status code vulnerability in Apache Thrift C++ WebSocket server.
This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvdimm: pmem: keep PREFLUSH before data writes
pmem_submit_bio() records a REQ_PREFLUSH error, but continues to copy the
bio data and can later overwrite the error with a successful REQ_FUA flush.
That lets data writes run after a failed preflush and can complete the bio
successfully despite the failed ordering barrier.
Run the REQ_PREFLUSH flush synchronously before touching the bio data and
complete the bio with the flush error if it fails. Keep asynchronous flush
chaining for REQ_FUA. At that point, data copy has completed and the parent
bio can wait for the chained flush bio. |
