CVE-2026-89896 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: cedrus: fix memory leak in cedrus_init_ctrls() In cedrus_init_ctrls(), the V4L2 control handler is initialized before allocating memory for ctx->ctrls. If this allocation fails, the function returns -ENOMEM without freeing the previously allocated handler resources, leading to a memory leak. Fix this by calling v4l2_ctrl_handler_free() on the ctx->ctrls allocation failure path. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1.1. An x86_64 allyesconfig build showed no new warnings. As we do not have an Allwinner SoC or board with a Cedrus VPU available to test with, no runtime testing was able to be performed.
CVE-2026-89934 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: ltrf216a: fix runtime PM reference leak in error path ltrf216a_get_lux() acquires a runtime PM reference by calling ltrf216a_set_power_state(data, true). However, if ltrf216a_read_data() fails, the function returns immediately without dropping the reference. This leaves the runtime PM usage count unbalanced, preventing the device from autosuspending after a failed read. Fix this by releasing the runtime PM reference before returning from the error path.
CVE-2026-89953 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: mtdoops: free page bitmap when the backing MTD is removed mtdoops_notify_add() allocates oops_page_used when the configured MTD device is registered. mtdoops_notify_remove() detaches from that device but leaves the bitmap allocated. If the same MTD device is later registered again, the add path allocates a new bitmap and overwrites the old pointer, leaking one vmalloc allocation per remove/add cycle. This is only visible when the backing MTD device can disappear and be registered again while mtdoops remains loaded, so the usual static MTD case does not expose it. Free the bitmap after unregistering the dumper and flushing the pending workers, then clear the pointer and page count before a later attach can allocate fresh state. Clearing the pointer also keeps the module exit path from freeing the same bitmap a second time after a remove event.
CVE-2026-63128 1 Modelcontextprotocol 1 Rust-sdk 2026-09-18 7.5 High
RMCP is an official Rust SDK for the Model Context Protocol. Prior to 2.0.0, the rmcp crate's stateful Streamable HTTP server in crates/rmcp/src/transport/streamable_http_server/tower.rs allows an unauthenticated client to send a well-formed JSON-RPC POST that is not an initialization request, or an initialization request with a mismatched protocol header, causing StreamableHttpService::handle_post to call LocalSessionManager.create_session before validating the message. An early validation failure returns without removing the inserted LocalSessionHandle from LocalSessionManager.sessions, permanently retaining session and channel state for the server process lifetime. Repeated requests can grow the shared session table without bound, degrade legitimate-client latency through lock contention, exhaust memory, and terminate the server. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.0.
CVE-2026-89924 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: s390: Fix old_data leak in guest debug error path __import_wp_info() allocates a per-watchpoint old_data buffer to back up the original guest memory contents. If a later watchpoint of the same KVM_SET_GUEST_DEBUG request fails to import, kvm_s390_import_bp_data() jumps to the error label, which frees the wp_info array but not the old_data buffers of the entries that were imported successfully. Up to MAX_BP_COUNT - 1 buffers of up to MAX_WP_SIZE bytes are leaked per failed request, and the request can be repeated. Create error handling for cleaning up all created old_data memory areas.
CVE-2026-89925 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: s390: Fix memory leak in guest debug handling bp_data is freed only for the error case by kfree(bp_data). Every successful KVM_SET_GUEST_DEBUG will leak bp_data.
CVE-2026-89880 1 Linux 2 Kernel, Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: rtl2832_sdr: release URBs and stream buffers on start_streaming() failure rtl2832_sdr_start_streaming() calls rtl2832_sdr_alloc_stream_bufs(), rtl2832_sdr_alloc_urbs() and rtl2832_sdr_submit_urbs() in sequence and shares a single err: label that only unlocks the mutex and returns. When alloc_urbs() succeeds but submit_urbs() fails, or when alloc_urbs() itself returns -ENOMEM after alloc_stream_bufs() has already succeeded, the URBs and/or the coherent DMA stream buffers stay allocated while streaming reports failure to vb2. Two latent defects follow on the next VIDIOC_STREAMON: 1) rtl2832_sdr_alloc_stream_bufs() unconditionally resets dev->buf_num to 0 and overwrites dev->buf_list[]/dev->dma_addr[], permanently leaking the coherent DMA memory allocated by the previous attempt. 2) rtl2832_sdr_alloc_urbs() never resets dev->urbs_initialized and only increments it. After a second successful pass urbs_initialized can exceed MAX_BULK_BUFS, so the subsequent rtl2832_sdr_free_urbs() walks from urbs_initialized - 1 down to 0 and reads past the end of dev->urb_list[], passing garbage pointers to usb_free_urb(). Mirror the teardown that stop_streaming() already performs: on the error path call rtl2832_sdr_free_urbs() and rtl2832_sdr_free_stream_bufs() before unlocking. Both helpers are idempotent (free_urbs kills and zeros urbs_initialized; free_stream_bufs is gated on URB_BUF and clears the buf_num counter), so partial-failure paths and the no-allocation paths remain safe. CVE-2026-90005 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: samples/damon/wsse: handle damon_start() failure Patch series "samples/damon: handle damon_{start,stop}() failures". All DAMON sample modules are not correctly handling failures from damon_start(). Among those, mtier also has an additional problem for handling of damon_stop() failures. wsse and prcl also have a problem in their damon_call() failure handling. As a result, memory leaks, next DAMON operation disruptions, and use-after-free can happen. Fix those. Note that only the damon_start() failure caused issues can reliably be reproduced. Reproducing those issues require the admin permission, though. This patch (of 6): damon_sample_wsse_start() callers assume it will clean up resources when it fails. And the function does the cleanup for context buildup failures. However, it is not doing the cleanup for damon_start() failure. As a result, when damon_start() fails, it leaks the memory for DAMON context. Free the context in case of the failure to fix the issues. Note that the issue can reliably be reproduced because the module calls damon_start() in the exclusive mode. For example, $ sudo damo start $ echo $$ | sudo tee /sys/module/damon_sample_wsse/parameters/target_pid $ echo Y | sudo tee /sys/module/damon_sample_wsse/parameters/enabled $ sudo cat /proc/allocinfo | grep damon_new_ctx Because the first command is running another DAMON instance, the third command fails the damon_start() call because the new DAMON instance cannot exclusively run. And without this fix, by repeating the third and the fourth commands above, we can show the memory consumption is only increasing due to the leaks. It requires the sudo permission though. The issue was discovered [1] by Sashiko.
CVE-2026-86040 1 Libp2p 1 Libp2p 2026-09-17 7.5 High
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 11.0.26, @libp2p/floodsub accepts unauthenticated RPC frames on /floodsub/1.0.0 through PeerStreams.attachInboundStream in packages/floodsub/src/peer-streams.ts without protobuf element limits, then processRpc and processRpcSubOpt in packages/floodsub/src/floodsub.ts synchronously process the subscriptions array without a per-frame cap. A single bounded-size frame can decode into millions of empty subscription entries that block the event loop, while hundreds of thousands of unique-topic SUBSCRIBE entries allocate PeerSet objects in this.topics that are not removed after peer removal or stop. Empty entries cause CPU exhaustion but do not grow this.topics; persistent memory growth requires unique topics. The subscription path bypasses message signature validation and the message-only processing queue, allowing a remote peer to cause sustained CPU denial of service, memory exhaustion, out-of-memory termination, and node unavailability. The issue is fixed in version 11.0.26.
CVE-2026-20012 1 Cisco 6 Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Cisco:adaptive Security Appliance Software, Ios and 3 more 2026-09-17 8.6 High
A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) feature of Cisco IOS Software, Cisco IOS XE Software, Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper parsing of IKEv2 packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted IKEv2 packets to an affected device. A successful exploit of Cisco IOS Software and IOS XE Software could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. A successful exploit of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA Software and Secure FTD Software could allow the attacker to partially exhaust system memory, resulting in system instability, such as the inability to establish new IKEv2 VPN sessions. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition.
CVE-2026-12932 1 Openvpn 1 Openvpn 2026-09-17 8.1 High
A memory leak in the tls-crypt-v2 client key extraction in OpenVPN 2.5.0 through 2.6.20 and 2.7_alpha1 through 2.7.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory exhaustion) via a flood of crafted packets
CVE-2026-81563 1 Isc 2 Bind, Bind 9 2026-09-17 7.5 High
A BIND resolver encountering an SVCB/HTTPS AliasMode record referencing 14 or more SVCB/HTTPS ServiceMode records may fail to properly deallocate internal resources. If this happens repeatedly, resource exhaustion will eventually prevent the resolver from performing new recursive lookups. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.18.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.27, 9.21.0 through 9.21.25, 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.27-S1.
CVE-2026-69208 1 Http4s 1 Http4s 2026-09-17 7.5 High
Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, the DigestAuth server middleware removes fresh nonces and stops eviction at the first stale nonce because its stale-nonce comparison is inverted. On an application that protects at least one route with DigestAuth, an unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly trigger authentication challenges, causing the persistent nonce map to grow until the JVM exhausts heap memory. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47.
CVE-2026-91926 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-09-17 3.7 Low
A flaw was found in gss-ntlmssp. A memory leak occurs in the NTLM target-info parser when a crafted NTLM CHALLENGE message contains duplicated string-valued AV_PAIR entries. The parser allocates memory for each string value but does not free the previous allocation when the same AV_PAIR type appears more than once, leaking the earlier allocation. A malicious or man-in-the-middle server can exploit this to cause gradual memory exhaustion on the client during NTLM authentication, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2026-18212 1 Redhat 4 Build Keycloak, Jboss Data Grid, Jbosseapxp and 1 more 2026-09-16 7.5 High
A flaw was found in the SAML Redirect Binding implementation of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The issue occurs because the custom DEFLATE compression and decompression helpers fail to release native zlib memory after use. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending repeated malformed SAML requests, leading to native memory exhaustion and a denial of service.
CVE-2026-48987 1 Pyload 1 Pyload 2026-09-15 6.5 Medium
pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev101, EventManager in src/pyload/core/managers/event_manager.py appends a Client object to the clients list for each unique uuid submitted to the authenticated getEvents API endpoint, but get_events does not invoke the available clean method to remove inactive clients. An authenticated user can repeatedly submit unique UUID values, causing retained client objects and process memory to grow without bound even after requests stop. The resulting memory exhaustion can trigger an operating-system out-of-memory termination of pyLoad or host-wide instability and denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.0b3.dev101.
CVE-2026-90784 1 Dvidelabs 1 Flatcc 2026-09-14 5.3 Medium
A vulnerability has been found in Dvidelabs flatcc up to 0.6.3. The impacted element is the function fb_clear_parser of the file src/Compiler/semantics.c. The manipulation leads to memory leak. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of the patch is 8dbc3419738da066151991fd2bf1d0c85591dea2. It is suggested to install a patch to address this issue.
CVE-2026-64336 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: keyspan_pda: fix information leak The write() callback is supposed to return the number of characters accepted or a negative errno. Since the addition of write fifo support the keyspan_pda implementation will however return the number characters submitted to the device if the write urb is not already in use. If this number is larger than the number of characters passed to write(), the line discipline continues writing data from beyond the tty write buffer. Fix the information leak by making sure that keyspan_pda_write_start() returns zero on success as intended.
CVE-2026-15892 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-09-14 5.3 Medium
The mcumgr SMP settings-management group handlers settings_mgmt_read(), settings_mgmt_write(), and settings_mgmt_delete() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/grp/settings_mgmt/src/settings_mgmt.c allocate a key_name buffer (and, for read, a data buffer) via k_malloc() when CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_SETTINGS_BUFFER_TYPE_HEAP is enabled, relying on the end: label to k_free() them. When CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_SETTINGS_ACCESS_HOOK is also enabled and the application access hook rejects a request by returning status MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC, the handler executed return ret_rc; directly, bypassing end: and leaking the heap allocation on every rejected request. The settings handlers are reachable over the unauthenticated SMP transport (Bluetooth LE, UART, or UDP, depending on product configuration). The access hook is the mechanism applications use to deny unauthorized settings access, and MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC is a common rejection style, so an attacker who can send settings read/write/delete commands that the hook rejects triggers a heap leak on each attempt. Because the leaked memory is never reclaimed until reboot, a sustained stream of rejected requests monotonically exhausts the kernel heap until k_malloc() fails, denying mcumgr service and impacting any other heap consumer on the device — a denial of service. The impact is availability-only; there is no memory corruption or information disclosure. Only configurations that select the heap buffer type, enable the access hook, and register a hook that returns MGMT_CB_ERROR_RC are affected (the default stack buffer type cannot leak).
CVE-2026-23137 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: unittest: Fix memory leak in unittest_data_add() In unittest_data_add(), if of_resolve_phandles() fails, the allocated unittest_data is not freed, leading to a memory leak. Fix this by using scope-based cleanup helper __free(kfree) for automatic resource cleanup. This ensures unittest_data is automatically freed when it goes out of scope in error paths. For the success path, use retain_and_null_ptr() to transfer ownership of the memory to the device tree and prevent double freeing.
