A security vulnerability in HPE NonStop TNS/X Native Inspect may cause corruption of address and potentially redirect execution flow.
OpenS100 through commit 2b1dafc contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the S-102 Bathymetric Surface parser. An attacker can supply a crafted S-102 HDF5 file with malicious grid dimension metadata that causes memory corruption when a user opens it. In the S102_VG_BathymetryCoverage::Read() function, the numPointsLatitudinal and numPointsLongitudinal values are multiplied without validation, and the 32-bit result can wrap around, producing an undersized heap buffer allocation. Subsequent writes past the end of that buffer cause a heap-based buffer overflow, leading to an application crash or potential arbitrary code execution in the context of the user who opened the file.
A heap buffer overflow in HPE NonStop Posix User Threads may allow arbitrary code execution.
A heap buffer overflow in HPE NonStop Debug Utilities could corrupt resume-execution address and may potentially redirect execution flow.
A heap buffer overflow in HPE NonStop Inspect Subsystem could corrupt resume-execution address and may potentially redirect execution flow.
A heap buffer overflow in HPE NonStop OCAX could corrupt address space and may potentially redirect execution flow.
A heap buffer overflow in HPE NonStop NDSREST could corrupt resume-execution address and may potentially redirect execution flow.
FreeRDP 2.0.0 before 3.32.0, when built with WITH_LAME=ON and WITH_DSP_FFMPEG=OFF, has a heap-based buffer overflow in freerdp_dsp_decode_mp3 because the right-channel PCM pointer is offset by a byte count treated as short elements. A malicious RDP server can send MP3 audio over rdpsnd so decoded samples cross the heap allocation, crashing the client.
