CVE-2026-53290 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/eustall: Fix drm_dev_put called before stream disable in close In xe_eu_stall_stream_close(), drm_dev_put() is called before the stream is disabled and its resources are freed. If this drops the last reference, the device structures could be freed while the subsequent cleanup code still accesses them, leading to a use-after-free. Fix this by moving drm_dev_put() after all device accesses are complete. This matches the ordering in xe_oa_release(). (cherry picked from commit 35aff528f7297e949e5e19c9cd7fd748cf1cf21c)
CVE-2026-53291 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/conexant: Fix missing error check for jack detection In cx_probe(), the return value of snd_hda_jack_detect_enable_callback() is ignored. This function returns a pointer, and if it fails (e.g., due to memory allocation failure), it returns an error pointer which must be checked using IS_ERR(). If the registration fails, the driver continues to probe, but the jack detection callback will not be registered. This can lead to a kernel crash later when the driver attempts to handle jack events or accesses the uninitialized structure. Check the return value using IS_ERR() and propagate the error via PTR_ERR() to the probe caller.
CVE-2026-53292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: phonet: do not BUG_ON() in pn_socket_autobind() on failed bind syzbot reported a kernel BUG triggered from pn_socket_sendmsg() via pn_socket_autobind(): kernel BUG at net/phonet/socket.c:213! RIP: 0010:pn_socket_autobind net/phonet/socket.c:213 [inline] RIP: 0010:pn_socket_sendmsg+0x240/0x250 net/phonet/socket.c:421 Call Trace: sock_sendmsg_nosec+0x112/0x150 net/socket.c:797 __sock_sendmsg net/socket.c:812 [inline] __sys_sendto+0x402/0x590 net/socket.c:2280 ... pn_socket_autobind() calls pn_socket_bind() with port 0 and, on -EINVAL, assumes the socket was already bound and asserts that the port is non-zero: err = pn_socket_bind(sock, ..., sizeof(struct sockaddr_pn)); if (err != -EINVAL) return err; BUG_ON(!pn_port(pn_sk(sock->sk)->sobject)); return 0; /* socket was already bound */ However pn_socket_bind() also returns -EINVAL when sk->sk_state is not TCP_CLOSE, even when the socket has never been bound and pn_port() is still 0. In that case the BUG_ON() fires and panics the kernel from a user-triggerable path. Treat the "bind returned -EINVAL but pn_port() is still 0" case as a regular error and propagate -EINVAL to the caller instead of crashing. Existing callers already translate a non-zero return from pn_socket_autobind() into -ENOBUFS/-EAGAIN, so returning -EINVAL here only changes behaviour from panic to a normal errno.
CVE-2026-53294 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: mailbox-test: don't free the reused channel The RX channel can be aliased to the TX channel if it has a different MMIO. This special case needs to be handled when freeing the channels otherwise a double-free occurs.
CVE-2026-53293 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix AMDGPU_INFO_READ_MMR_REG There were multiple issues in that code. First of all the order between the reset semaphore and the mm_lock was wrong (e.g. copy_to_user) was called while holding the lock. Then we allocated memory while holding the reset semaphore which is also a pretty big bug and can deadlock. Then we used down_read_trylock() instead of waiting for the reset to finish. CVE-2026-53295 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: add sanity check for channel array Fail gracefully if there is no channel array attached to the mailbox controller. Otherwise the later dereference will cause an OOPS which might not be seen because mailbox controllers might instantiate very early. Remove the comment explaining the obvious while here.
CVE-2026-53296 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: mailbox-test: free channels on probe error On probe error, free the previously obtained channels. This not only prevents a leak, but also UAF scenarios because the client structure will be removed nonetheless because it was allocated with devm.
CVE-2026-53297 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mana: Guard mana_remove against double invocation If PM resume fails (e.g., mana_attach() returns an error), mana_probe() calls mana_remove(), which tears down the device and sets gd->gdma_context = NULL and gd->driver_data = NULL. However, a failed resume callback does not automatically unbind the driver. When the device is eventually unbound, mana_remove() is invoked a second time. Without a NULL check, it dereferences gc->dev with gc == NULL, causing a kernel panic. Add an early return if gdma_context or driver_data is NULL so the second invocation is harmless. Move the dev = gc->dev assignment after the guard so it cannot dereference NULL.
CVE-2026-53298 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: airoha: Move ndesc initialization at end of airoha_qdma_init_rx_queue() If queue entry or DMA descriptor list allocation fails in airoha_qdma_init_rx_queue routine, airoha_qdma_cleanup() will trigger a NULL pointer dereference running netif_napi_del() for RX queue NAPIs since netif_napi_add() has never been executed to this particular RX NAPI. The issue is due to the early ndesc initialization in airoha_qdma_init_rx_queue() since airoha_qdma_cleanup() relies on ndesc value to check if the queue is properly initialized. Fix the issue moving ndesc initialization at end of airoha_qdma_init_tx routine. Move page_pool allocation after descriptor list allocation in order to avoid memory leaks if desc allocation fails.
CVE-2026-53299 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: airoha: Move ndesc initialization at end of airoha_qdma_init_tx() If queue entry list allocation fails in airoha_qdma_init_tx_queue routine, airoha_qdma_cleanup_tx_queue() will trigger a NULL pointer dereference accessing the queue entry array. The issue is due to the early ndesc initialization in airoha_qdma_init_tx_queue(). Fix the issue moving ndesc initialization at end of airoha_qdma_init_tx routine.
CVE-2026-53300 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: enetc: fix NTMP DMA use-after-free issue The AI-generated review reported a potential DMA use-after-free issue [1]. If netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() times out and returns an error, the pending command is not explicitly aborted, while ntmp_free_data_mem() unconditionally frees the DMA buffer. If the buffer has already been reallocated elsewhere, this may lead to silent memory corruption. Because the hardware eventually processes the pending command and perform a DMA write of the response to the physical address of the freed buffer. To resolve this issue, this patch does the following modifications: 1. Convert cbdr->ring_lock from a spinlock to a mutex The lock was originally a spinlock in case NTMP operations might be invoked from atomic context. After downstream support for all NTMP tables, no such usage has materialized. A mutex lock is now required because the driver now needs to reclaim used BDs and release associated DMA memory within the lock's context, while dma_free_coherent() might sleep. 2. Introduce software command BD (struct netc_swcbd) The hardware write-back overwrites the addr and len fields of the BD, so the driver cannot rely on the hardware BD to free the associated DMA memory. The driver now maintains a software shadow BD storing the DMA buffer pointer, DMA address, and size. And netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() only reclaims older BDs when the number of used BDs reaches NETC_CBDR_CLEAN_WORK (16). The software BD enables correct DMA memory release. With this, struct ntmp_dma_buf and ntmp_free_data_mem() are no longer needed and are removed. 3. Require callers to hold ring_lock across netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() netc_xmit_ntmp_cmd() releases the ring_lock before the caller finishes consuming the response. At this point, if a concurrent thread submits a new command, it may trigger ntmp_clean_cbdr() and free the DMA buffer while it is still in use. Move ring_lock ownership to the caller to ensure the response buffer cannot be reclaimed prematurely. So the helpers ntmp_select_and_lock_cbdr() and ntmp_unlock_cbdr() are added. These changes eliminate the DMA use-after-free condition and ensure safe and consistent BD reclamation and DMA buffer lifecycle management.
CVE-2026-53233 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netdev: fix double-free in netdev_nl_bind_rx_doit() Sashiko flags that genlmsg_reply() always consumes the skb. The error path calls nlmsg_free(rsp) so we can't jump directly to it. Let's not unbind, just propagate the error to the user. This is the typical way of handling genlmsg_reply() failures. They shouldn't happen unless user does something silly like calling the kernel with an already-full rcvbuf.
CVE-2026-53241 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: dummy: fix UMP event stack overread The dummy sequencer port forwards events by copying an incoming struct snd_seq_event into a stack temporary, rewriting source and destination, and dispatching the temporary to subscribers. That legacy event storage is smaller than struct snd_seq_ump_event. When a UMP event reaches the dummy client, the copy leaves the UMP flag set but only provides legacy-sized stack storage. The subscriber delivery path then uses snd_seq_event_packet_size() and copies a UMP-sized packet from that stack object, reading past the end of the temporary. Use the existing union __snd_seq_event storage and copy the packet size reported for the incoming event before rewriting the common routing fields. This preserves the full UMP packet for UMP events while keeping legacy event handling unchanged.
CVE-2026-53242 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: PCM: Fix wait queue list corruption in snd_pcm_drain() on linked streams snd_pcm_drain() uses init_waitqueue_entry which does not clear entry.prev/next, and add_wait_queue with a conditional remove_wait_queue that is skipped when to_check is no longer in the group after concurrent UNLINK. The orphaned wait entry remains on the unlinked substream sleep queue. On the next drain iteration, add_wait_queue adds the entry to a new queue while still linked on the old one, corrupting both lists. A subsequent wake_up dereferences NULL at the func pointer (mapped from the spinlock at offset 0 of the misinterpreted wait_queue_head_t), causing a kernel panic. Replace init_waitqueue_entry/add_wait_queue/conditional remove_wait_queue with init_wait_entry/prepare_to_wait/ finish_wait. init_wait_entry clears prev/next via INIT_LIST_HEAD on each iteration and sets autoremove_wake_function which auto-removes the entry on wake-up. finish_wait safely handles both the already-removed and still-queued cases.
CVE-2026-53243 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rseq: Fix using an uninitialized stack variable in rseq_exit_user_update() There is an bug in which an uninitialized stack variable is used in rseq_exit_user_update() as reported by syzbot: BUG: KMSAN: kernel-infoleak in rseq_set_ids_get_csaddr include/linux/rseq_entry.h:502 [inline] The local variable: struct rseq_ids ids = { .cpu_id = task_cpu(t), .mm_cid = task_mm_cid(t), .node_id = cpu_to_node(ids.cpu_id), }; According to the C standard, the evaluation order of expressions in an initializer list is indeterminately sequenced. The compiler (Clang, in this KMSAN build) evaluates `cpu_to_node(ids.cpu_id)` *before* `ids.cpu_id` is initialized with `task_cpu(t)`. This is fixed by moving the assignment of ids.node_id outside the structure initialization.
CVE-2026-53244 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: VFS: fix possible failure to unlock in nfsd4_create_file() atomic_create() in fs/namei.c drops the reference to the dentry when it returns an error. This behaviour was imported into dentry_create() so that it will drop the reference if an error is returned from atomic_create(), though not if vfs_create() returns an error (in the case where ->atomic_create is not supported). The caller - nfsd4_create_file() - is made aware of this by checking path->dentry, which will either be a counted reference to a dentry, or an error pointer. However the change to use start_creating()/end_creating() (which landed shortly before the dentry_create() change landed, though was likely developed around the same time) means that nfsd4_create_file() *needs* a valid dentry so that it can unlock the parent. The net result is that if NFSD exports a filesystem which uses ->atomic_create, and if a call to ->atomic_create returns an error, then nfsd4_create_file() will pass an error pointer to end_creating() and the parent will not be unlocked. Fix this by changing dentry_create() to make sure path->dentry is always a valid dentry, never an error-pointer. The actual error is already returned a different way. Note that if ->atomic_create() returns a different dentry (which may not be possible in practice) we are guaranteed (because it is only ever provided by d_spliace_alias()) that it will have the same d_parent and so it will have the same effect when passed to end_creating().
CVE-2026-53245 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/802/mrp: fix vector attribute parsing in mrp_pdu_parse_vecattr In mrp_pdu_parse_vecattr(), vector attribute events are encoded three per byte and valen tracks the number of events left to process. The parser decrements valen after processing the first and second events from each event byte, but not after processing the third one. When valen is exactly a multiple of three, the loop continues after the last valid event and consumes the next byte as a new event byte, applying a spurious event to the MRP applicant state. Additionally, when valen is zero the parser unconditionally consumes attrlen bytes as FirstValue and advances the offset, even though per IEEE 802.1ak a VectorAttribute with only a LeaveAllEvent has valen of zero and no FirstValue or Vector fields. This corrupts the offset for subsequent PDU parsing. Also, when valen exceeds three the loop crosses byte boundaries but the attribute value is not incremented between the last event of one byte and the first event of the next. This causes the first event of the next byte to use the same attribute value as the third event rather than the next consecutive value. Decrement valen after processing the third event, skip FirstValue consumption when valen is zero, and increment the attribute value at the end of each loop iteration.
CVE-2026-53246 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate cached peer INIT chunk length in COOKIE_ECHO processing When a listening SCTP server processes a COOKIE_ECHO chunk, the cached peer INIT chunk embedded after the cookie is parsed and its parameters are later walked by sctp_process_init() using sctp_walk_params(). However, the chunk header length of this cached INIT chunk was not validated against the remaining buffer in the COOKIE_ECHO payload. If the length field is inflated, the parameter walk can run beyond the actual received data, leading to out-of-bounds reads and potential memory corruption during later parameter handling (e.g. STATE_COOKIE processing and kmemdup() copies). Add a bounds check in sctp_unpack_cookie() to ensure the cached INIT chunk length does not exceed the available data in the COOKIE_ECHO buffer before it is used.
CVE-2026-53247 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: Fix use-after-free in metadata dst teardown mtk_free_dev() calls metadata_dst_free() which frees the metadata_dst with kfree() immediately, bypassing the RCU grace period. In the RX path, skb_dst_set_noref() sets a non-refcounted pointer from the skb to the metadata_dst. This function requires RCU read-side protection and the dst must remain valid until all RCU readers complete. Since metadata_dst_free() calls kfree() directly, a use-after-free can occur if any skb still holds a noref pointer to the dst when the driver tears it down. Replace metadata_dst_free() with dst_release() which properly goes through the refcount path: when the refcount drops to zero, it schedules the actual free via call_rcu_hurry(), ensuring all RCU readers have completed before the memory is freed.
