CVE-2017-18122 2 Debian, Simplesamlphp 2 Debian Linux, Simplesamlphp 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
A signature-validation bypass issue was discovered in SimpleSAMLphp through 1.14.16. A SimpleSAMLphp Service Provider using SAML 1.1 will regard as valid any unsigned SAML response containing more than one signed assertion, provided that the signature of at least one of the assertions is valid. Attributes contained in all the assertions received will be merged and the entityID of the first assertion received will be used, allowing an attacker to impersonate any user of any IdP given an assertion signed by the targeted IdP.
CVE-2017-18121 2 Debian, Simplesamlphp 2 Debian Linux, Simplesamlphp 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
The consentAdmin module in SimpleSAMLphp through 1.14.15 is vulnerable to a Cross-Site Scripting attack, allowing an attacker to craft links that could execute arbitrary JavaScript code on the victim's web browser.
CVE-2017-18078 3 Debian, Opensuse, Systemd Project 3 Debian Linux, Leap, Systemd 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
systemd-tmpfiles in systemd before 237 attempts to support ownership/permission changes on hardlinked files even if the fs.protected_hardlinks sysctl is turned off, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions via vectors involving a hard link to a file for which the user lacks write access, as demonstrated by changing the ownership of the /etc/passwd file.
CVE-2017-18076 2 Debian, Omniauth 2 Debian Linux, Omniauth 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In strategy.rb in OmniAuth before 1.3.2, the authenticity_token value is improperly protected because POST (in addition to GET) parameters are stored in the session and become available in the environment of the callback phase.
CVE-2017-18043 3 Canonical, Debian, Qemu 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Qemu 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
Integer overflow in the macro ROUND_UP (n, d) in Quick Emulator (Qemu) allows a user to cause a denial of service (Qemu process crash).
CVE-2017-18030 2 Debian, Qemu 2 Debian Linux, Qemu 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 4.4 MEDIUM
The cirrus_invalidate_region function in hw/display/cirrus_vga.c in Qemu allows local OS guest privileged users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds array access and QEMU process crash) via vectors related to negative pitch.
CVE-2017-18026 2 Debian, Redmine 2 Debian Linux, Redmine 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
Redmine before 3.2.9, 3.3.x before 3.3.6, and 3.4.x before 3.4.4 does not block the --config and --debugger flags to the Mercurial hg program, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands (through the Mercurial adapter) via vectors involving a branch whose name begins with a --config= or --debugger= substring, a related issue to CVE-2017-17536.
CVE-2017-17833 5 Canonical, Debian, Lenovo and 2 more 61 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Bm Nextscale Fan Power Controller and 58 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
OpenSLP releases in the 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 code streams have a heap-related memory corruption issue which may manifest itself as a denial-of-service or a remote code-execution vulnerability.
CVE-2017-17742 2 Debian, Ruby-lang 2 Debian Linux, Ruby 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
Ruby before 2.2.10, 2.3.x before 2.3.7, 2.4.x before 2.4.4, 2.5.x before 2.5.1, and 2.6.0-preview1 allows an HTTP Response Splitting attack. An attacker can inject a crafted key and value into an HTTP response for the HTTP server of WEBrick.
CVE-2017-17485 4 Debian, Fasterxml, Netapp and 1 more 9 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, E-series Santricity Os Controller and 6 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
FasterXML jackson-databind through 2.8.10 and 2.9.x through 2.9.3 allows unauthenticated remote code execution because of an incomplete fix for the CVE-2017-7525 deserialization flaw. This is exploitable by sending maliciously crafted JSON input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper, bypassing a blacklist that is ineffective if the Spring libraries are available in the classpath.
CVE-2017-16790 2 Debian, Sensiolabs 2 Debian Linux, Symfony 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in Symfony before 2.7.38, 2.8.31, 3.2.14, 3.3.13, 3.4-BETA5, and 4.0-BETA5. When a form is submitted by the user, the request handler classes of the Form component merge POST data and uploaded files data into one array. This big array forms the data that are then bound to the form. At this stage there is no difference anymore between submitted POST data and uploaded files. A user can send a crafted HTTP request where the value of a "FileType" is sent as normal POST data that could be interpreted as a local file path on the server-side (for example, "file:///etc/passwd"). If the application did not perform any additional checks about the value submitted to the "FileType", the contents of the given file on the server could have been exposed to the attacker.
CVE-2017-16654 2 Debian, Sensiolabs 2 Debian Linux, Symfony 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Symfony before 2.7.38, 2.8.31, 3.2.14, 3.3.13, 3.4-BETA5, and 4.0-BETA5. The Intl component includes various bundle readers that are used to read resource bundles from the local filesystem. The read() methods of these classes use a path and a locale to determine the language bundle to retrieve. The locale argument value is commonly retrieved from untrusted user input (like a URL parameter). An attacker can use this argument to navigate to arbitrary directories via the dot-dot-slash attack, aka Directory Traversal.
CVE-2017-16653 2 Debian, Sensiolabs 2 Debian Linux, Symfony 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in Symfony before 2.7.38, 2.8.31, 3.2.14, 3.3.13, 3.4-BETA5, and 4.0-BETA5. The current implementation of CSRF protection in Symfony (Version >=2) does not use different tokens for HTTP and HTTPS; therefore the token is subject to MITM attacks on HTTP and can then be used in an HTTPS context to do CSRF attacks.
CVE-2017-16652 2 Debian, Sensiolabs 2 Debian Linux, Symfony 2024-11-21 5.8 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in Symfony 2.7.x before 2.7.38, 2.8.x before 2.8.31, 3.2.x before 3.2.14, and 3.3.x before 3.3.13. DefaultAuthenticationSuccessHandler or DefaultAuthenticationFailureHandler takes the content of the _target_path parameter and generates a redirect response, but no check is performed on the path, which could be an absolute URL to an external domain. This Open redirect vulnerability can be exploited for example to mount effective phishing attacks.
CVE-2017-15715 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, the expression specified in <FilesMatch> could match '$' to a newline character in a malicious filename, rather than matching only the end of the filename. This could be exploited in environments where uploads of some files are are externally blocked, but only by matching the trailing portion of the filename.
CVE-2017-15710 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Apache httpd 2.0.23 to 2.0.65, 2.2.0 to 2.2.34, and 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, mod_authnz_ldap, if configured with AuthLDAPCharsetConfig, uses the Accept-Language header value to lookup the right charset encoding when verifying the user's credentials. If the header value is not present in the charset conversion table, a fallback mechanism is used to truncate it to a two characters value to allow a quick retry (for example, 'en-US' is truncated to 'en'). A header value of less than two characters forces an out of bound write of one NUL byte to a memory location that is not part of the string. In the worst case, quite unlikely, the process would crash which could be used as a Denial of Service attack. In the more likely case, this memory is already reserved for future use and the issue has no effect at all.
CVE-2017-15705 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 7 Spamassassin, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
A denial of service vulnerability was identified that exists in Apache SpamAssassin before 3.4.2. The vulnerability arises with certain unclosed tags in emails that cause markup to be handled incorrectly leading to scan timeouts. In Apache SpamAssassin, using HTML::Parser, we setup an object and hook into the begin and end tag event handlers In both cases, the "open" event is immediately followed by a "close" event - even if the tag *does not* close in the HTML being parsed. Because of this, we are missing the "text" event to deal with the object normally. This can cause carefully crafted emails that might take more scan time than expected leading to a Denial of Service. The issue is possibly a bug or design decision in HTML::Parser that specifically impacts the way Apache SpamAssassin uses the module with poorly formed html. The exploit has been seen in the wild but not believed to have been purposefully part of a Denial of Service attempt. We are concerned that there may be attempts to abuse the vulnerability in the future.
CVE-2017-15698 2 Apache, Debian 2 Tomcat Native, Debian Linux 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
When parsing the AIA-Extension field of a client certificate, Apache Tomcat Native Connector 1.2.0 to 1.2.14 and 1.1.23 to 1.1.34 did not correctly handle fields longer than 127 bytes. The result of the parsing error was to skip the OCSP check. It was therefore possible for client certificates that should have been rejected (if the OCSP check had been made) to be accepted. Users not using OCSP checks are not affected by this vulnerability.
CVE-2017-15429 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Chrome, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
Inappropriate implementation in V8 WebAssembly JS bindings in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.108 allowed a remote attacker to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML (UXSS) via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2017-15427 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Chrome, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
Insufficient policy enforcement in Omnibox in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 allowed a socially engineered user to XSS themselves by dragging and dropping a javascript: URL into the URL bar.
