| CVE-2026-46289 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib/scatterlist: fix length calculations in extract_kvec_to_sg Patch series "Fix bugs in extract_iter_to_sg()", v3. Fix bugs in the kvec and user variants of extract_iter_to_sg. This series is growing due to useful remarks made by sashiko.dev. The main bugs are: - The length for an sglist entry when extracting from a kvec can exceed the number of bytes in the page. This is obviously not intended. - When extracting a user buffer the sglist is temporarily used as a scratch buffer for extracted page pointers. If the sglist already contains some elements this scratch buffer could overlap with existing entries in the sglist. The series adds test cases to the kunit_iov_iter test that demonstrate all of these bugs. Additionally, there is a memory leak fix for the test itself. The bugs were orignally introduced into kernel v6.3 where the function lived in fs/netfs/iterator.c. It was later moved to lib/scatterlist.c in v6.5. Thus the actual fix is only marked for backports to v6.5+. This patch (of 5): When extracting from a kvec to a scatterlist, do not cross page boundaries. The required length was already calculated but not used as intended. Adjust the copied length if the loop runs out of sglist entries without extracting everything. While there, return immediately from extract_iter_to_sg if there are no sglist entries at all. A subsequent commit will add kunit test cases that demonstrate that the patch is necessary. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: fix unlocked test for dm_suspended_md The function dm_blk_report_zones tests if the device is suspended with the "dm_suspended_md" call. However, this function is called without holding any locks, so the device may be suspended just after it. Move the call to dm_suspended_md after dm_get_live_table, so that the device can't be suspended after the suspended state was tested. | |||||

| CVE-2026-46283 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: Use kfree_sensitive() to free auth session in tpm_dev_release() tpm_dev_release() uses plain kfree() to free chip->auth, which contains sensitive cryptographic material including HMAC session keys, nonces, and passphrase data (struct tpm2_auth). Every other code path that frees this structure uses kfree_sensitive() to zero the memory before releasing it: both tpm2_end_auth_session() and tpm_buf_check_hmac_response() do so. The tpm_dev_release() path is the only one that does not, leaving key material in freed slab memory until it is eventually overwritten. Use kfree_sensitive() for consistency with the rest of the driver and to ensure session keys are scrubbed during device teardown. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46296 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: s3c64xx: fix NULL-deref on driver unbind A change moving DMA channel allocation from probe() back to s3c64xx_spi_prepare_transfer() failed to remove the corresponding deallocation from remove(). Drop the bogus DMA channel release from remove() to avoid triggering a NULL-pointer dereference on driver unbind. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a controller deregistration fix. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52904 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau: fix nvkm_device leak on aperture removal failure When aperture_remove_conflicting_pci_devices() fails during probe, the error path returns directly without unwinding the nvkm_device that was just allocated by nvkm_device_pci_new(). This leaks both the device wrapper and the pci_enable_device() reference taken inside it. Jump to the existing fail_nvkm label so nvkm_device_del() runs and balances both. The leak was introduced when the intermediate nvkm_device_del() between detection and aperture removal was dropped in favor of creating the pci device once. | |||||

| CVE-2026-46288 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 8.4 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: unittest: fix use-after-free in of_unittest_changeset() The variable 'parent' is assigned the value of 'nchangeset' earlier in the function, meaning both point to the same struct device_node. The call to of_node_put(nchangeset) can decrement the reference count to zero and free the node if there are no other holders. After that, the code still uses 'parent' to check for the presence of a property and to read a string property, leading to a use-after-free. Fix this by moving the of_node_put() call after the last access to 'parent', avoiding the UAF. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46311 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/userq: fix access to stale wptr mapping Use drm_exec to take both locks i.e vm root bo and wptr_obj bo to access the mapping data properly. This fixes the security issue of unmap the wptr_obj while a queue creation is in progress and passing other bo at same address. | CVE-2026-46330 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "net/smc: Introduce TCP ULP support" This reverts commit d7cd421da9da2cc7b4d25b8537f66db5c8331c40. As reported by Al Viro, the TCP ULP support for SMC is fundamentally broken. The implementation attempts to convert an active TCP socket into an SMC socket by modifying the underlying `struct file`, dentry, and inode in-place, which violates core VFS invariants that assume these structures are immutable for an open file, creating a risk of use after free errors and general system instability. Given the severity of this design flaw and the fact that cleaner alternatives (e.g., LD_PRELOAD, BPF) exist for legacy application transparency, the correct course of action is to remove this feature entirely. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46285 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: docg3: fix use-after-free in docg3_release() In docg3_release(), the docg3 pointer is obtained from cascade->floors[0]->priv before the loop that calls doc_release_device() on each floor. doc_release_device() frees the docg3 struct via kfree(docg3) at line 1881. After the loop, docg3->cascade->bch dereferences the already-freed pointer. Fix this by accessing cascade->bch directly, which is equivalent since docg3->cascade points back to the same cascade struct, and is already available as a local variable. This also removes the now-unused docg3 local variable. | |||||

| CVE-2026-46292 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd If a device is attached to a PM domain through genpd_dev_pm_attach_by_id(), genpd calls pm_runtime_enable() for the corresponding virtual device that it registers. While this avoids boilerplate code in drivers, there is no corresponding call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach(). This means these virtual devices are typically detached from its genpd, while runtime PM remains enabled for them, which is not how things are designed to work. In worst cases it may lead to critical errors, like a NULL pointer dereference bug in genpd_runtime_suspend(), which was recently reported. For another case, we may end up keeping an unnecessary vote for a performance state for the device. To fix these problems, let's add this missing call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach(). | |||||
