In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/kexec: Fix bug with call depth tracking The call to cc_platform_has() triggers a fault and system crash if call depth tracking is active because the GS segment has been reset by load_segments() and GS_BASE is now 0 but call depth tracking uses per-CPU variables to operate. Call cc_platform_has() earlier in the function when GS is still valid. [ bp: Massage. ]

  • (es) En el kernel de Linux, se resolvió la siguiente vulnerabilidad: x86/kexec: Corrección de error con el seguimiento de profundidad de llamadas. La llamada a cc_platform_has() desencadena una falla y un bloqueo del sistema si el seguimiento de profundidad de llamadas está activo porque el segmento GS ha sido restablecido por load_segments( ) y GS_BASE ahora es 0, pero el seguimiento de profundidad de llamadas utiliza variables por CPU para funcionar. Llame a cc_platform_has() anteriormente en la función cuando GS aún sea válido. [pb: Masaje. ]
